Brophy, 36, was convicted of violating probation he received in November 2019 by failing to report to his probation officer in early May, by not completing counselling in late May and by neglecting to report to his probation officer again in August. Justice Allan Letourneau was told that Brophy was placed on probation for 15 months and ordered to report as directed to his probation officer and is required to participate in counselling, particularly the Partner Assault Response (PAR) Program. But according to assistant Crown attorney John Skoropada, he was discharged from the PAR Program in May for failing to put in the requisite attendance.
