One of four firefighters who was injured in a wildfire in Nevada County still in the hospital this morning. Three other firefighters were scheduled to be released overnight. All four sustained burns while battling the lowell fire just north of interstate 80. This morning there are still mandatory evacuations in place there and so far that fire has charred about 1500 acres. Its not clear exactly how those firefighters got hurt. We do have four firefighters that suffered some burn injuries that were transported to uc toews. Right now the exact incident is still under investigation to determine what exactly happened why the firefighters were on the line. This morning 800 firefighters are on the front lines with more on the way. The fire is 15 contained and firefighters are cautiously on pi i can opening that the winds stay in their favor today. When the wind shifts that may turn the fire in a different direction and also with those temperatures going up that may cause another issue. Humidity this afternoon will be at 15 and overnight back up to about 45 with temperatures today in the mid 80s. By the middle of the week it could be climbing to near 100 degrees in that area. Investigators say around 7 00 sunday morning they found a stolen car crashed into a pole. When officers found the suspect they say he took off and then tried to car jack other cars. The first shot is heard by an officer and by the driver of the vehicle that the independent witness, that appears to have gone into the ground and then the second round as the suspect advances on the officer the suspect is in serious condition, the officer was not hurt. Thousands of people are expected to attend the funeral for Hayward Police officer killed last week this in the line of duty.
