Cyclists say they have been targeted by police in parts of San Francisco. Here on page street riders routinely use the opposite lane to bypass long lines of cars waiting to turn right on to octavia. And police from the park station have been targeting this intersection citing riders who do not wait in line. If thats their attitude then its out of line with city policy because city policy is to make it as convenient and comfortable as possible and practical to use a bike. And that just wouldnt be practical. Reporter Jason Henderson is the author of street fight, a book on San Franciscos transportation struggles and argues that cycleists should not be required to obey the same traffic rules as cars. The legislation would set aside more than 1 billion for some drought relief projects. Some of the key provisions include federal support for more than 25 desalination projects across the state, increasing the reservoir capacities or simply building new ones. You can bet theres a lot of tourists in San Francisco now heading to those shops to get some hoodies, because as the fog rolls in, chilly for tonight. Tomorrow morning more comfortable as well with the fog at the immediate coastline, will help temperatures to drop down to 65 in the south bay. 67 for the peninsula and 62 in San Francisco.
