We brought you the story on wednesday when police were looking for the dogs. It started last month while the woman was walking her chihuahua. They attacked her dog who layer later died. We learned yesterday they found the pit bulls at a Humane Society in daly city. And police are looking for the owner. Nbc bay area sky ranger captured the video of this crash in fremont this morning. Police say the driver of this suv killed a man who was moving a piano into this trailer right here. At about 10 00 this morning one man is in custody. Police still on scene tonight trying to figure out just what happened. Fremont Police Officers say the nissan suv driven by a 57yearold man lost control coming down argue of naught. Hitting and killing a pedestrian and also hit ago trailer and knocking over a fire hide drant. The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Unfortunately the pedestrian died at the scene. The driver was injured and had to be transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. There is water everywhere. You could see the body. Witnesses described a horrifying scene. They also say cars often drive too fast and recklessly up and down the street. They dont look or pay attention. There is either someone trying to merge and they dont acknowledge there is another car coming from the right. So its just an unsafe intersection. Officers wouldnt comment on how safe the street it o is but say the victim was a 44yearold man from Huntington Beach in the process of moving a piano. Theyre still looking into how one car did so much damage. Now officers as of tonight have not released the names of the driver or the victim. Right now six major wildfires are burning out of control north of los angeles all the way down through san diego. More than 6,000 firefighters now along the front lines. We have video to show you shot early earlier from the nbc chopper. This is the fire in the ventura, complete le out of control unrelenting as it continues to chew up the mountainside. The largest of them all the thomas fire engufld more than 132,000 acres. Efforts to contain the firefighters have been sh warted by high winds. In san diego county, the lilac fire leaving a path of destruction in the wake. Thousands of people forced to evacuate. The results of those flames, this, this is the reality that so many families are coming home to. Their entire home is left in rubble and ash. And right now little relief in sight. Wildfires continue to rafage Southern California right now. The thomas fire has now made its way all the way to the pacific ocean. Reporter the fires exploded overnight. We have to wait until monday and tuesday to begin to see the winds starting to relax. Out of the north 10 to 20 on monday. By tuesday northeast 10 to 15. Again, these are occasional gusts we could see throughout the day. And by monday and tuesday it does look better. Extended forecast continuing to show dry weather over the next seven days. This afternoon, hundreds of oakland City Employees marched through downtown and blocked the intersection of broadway and 14th. The city wants to make this only about money. This is not about money. Its about community standards. Dwight is one of the negotiators for the union. He says several big issues remain unresolved. One of those is how part time and temporary employees continue to work fulltime hours but without the benefits that come with a fulltime contract. Its about 911 dispatchers who on any given day can be tapped on the shoulder for a 16hour day, three to oh four to five days in a row which wreaks havocs on systems wreaks havoc on their bodies in their lives. The mayor claims the city doesnt have the money to pay for many of the union demands, such as a wage increase.
