Within the last hour, Police Officers were searching that area with their guns drawn. It appears its where Homeless People live. We know police did take one man into custody. What is not clear, if he is related to the recent arson fires in the area. The fires started around 9 30 this past saturday night. San jose firefighters put out three small fires alongside southbound 680. That is near hofstetter. One fire came close to the homes near the interstate. Investigators are con sincvince fires were intentionally set. A suspect was seen on the bicycle at the crossing over 680. Again, within the past hour, police did take someone into custody. We are keeping our eye closely on this. Meanwhile, the state of florida investigating a Deadly Police shooting involving a suspect who grabbed a deputy and held on to him during a confrontation. Get your hands up, now this happened wednesday at an apartment complex near ft. Lauderdale. The suspect, a 42yearold was not armed. The deputy already used a taser against him, you can see that. When backup arrived, he had the deputy by the leg. You saw that earlier. Broward county Sheriffs Department released the security body cam video so the public could see exactly what happened when he was shot. This is something that happened in the split second he was forced to deal with. Both deputies are on administrative leave, that is standard. They will hand the case over to a grand jury. 5 17.
