The Pilot Project to phase out the paper ticket machines starts at 19th street in oakland tomorrow and continues with the embarcadero in San Francisco two weeks later, and then powell station two weeks after that and Downtown Berkeley at the end of september. The clipper card can be used at most transit systems in the bay area, making it easier from commuters to go from bart to local buses, light rail systems and even ferries.
