This is the dash camera video that has the family of a suspect killed by Police Seeing red tonight. Danville police began chasing the driver after neighbors report eed him acting suspiciouy in november of last year. We had a strange individual lurking around our property. We have a person who is nearly suspected or thought to be suspicious in danville. Reporter after chasing the man and attempting to box him in, an officer is seen getting out of his patrol car. Running in front of the suspects honda and immediately opening fire. Fired right away and multiple times. At a person who was unarmed. Who hadnt verbally threatened anyone, was not wanted for any type of heinous crimes and this is the way you contact the this critical video and incident release is to provide you with some information. Reporter the sheriff spokesman maintained the officer fired his gun because he tried running him down. Last year danvilles police chief also insisted it was selfdefense. The driver drove his vehicle straight towards one of our officers. Fearing for his life, the officer fired his weapon towards the vehicle. In an attempt to get the driver to stop. The woman asked not to be identified but told us it was a close call. I could have walked outside and grabbed the package and maybe if i took another extra step that gun could have been at my head. Reporter she realized later her daughter did leave the house. It was scary, of course. My daughter actually went outside and grabbed the package right after he left. So, its very nerve racking. Campus reopened about 30 minutes later. Well, the clock is ticking for that group of homeless moms who took over an empty house in oakland. Theyve been evicted. They have less than two weeks to leave. But the moms say theyre not going anywhere. Joining us in oakland now with the very latest. Melissa . Well, december 17th that is the day that these moms have marked on their calendar. That is the day they might become homeless all over again. A spokesperson for the Alameda County Sheriff Office said they plan to enforce that eviction notice. Video we shot earlier today. A crowd cheered on the homeless mothers who took over this vacant home on the 2900 block of magnolia street. The mothers have been living there for two weeks and recently one of the mothers sons took his first steps there. The property is owned by a Real Estate Investment Company Named wedgewood. The mothers say they want to negotiate with the company for ownership of the house, but a spokesperson for the company says theyre willing to talk with the moms, but, first, they have to leave. Earlier this week a mom found a courtissued eviction notice. Today the mothers call on Community Members to rally behind the mom on the day that deputies might come to their door to force them out. Were not leaving without a fight. Like this is our home. This is moms house. And were not going anywhere. But that doesnt give anybody the right to take somebody elses property. Youve been on the story for several weeks now. You talked to some of the neighbors there. We have seen plenty of supporters. The people who own or rent homes right next door to these women. Well, i can tell you there were a lot of members of the community who rallied behind the moms. I was pretty surprised a group of about 50 people came out there. These were working parents, a lot of people who cheered on the moms and they said theyre going to be there on december 17th, the morning of december 17th to rally behind these moms and support them if, in fact, deputies do arrive to kick them out. A man and a woman you see on the right were arrested today. The other two arrested last night. Police in the east bay had been investigating four home invasions. Two in lafayette and another in oakland. Those oakland home invasions led them to the police today. All four being held at the martinez detention facility. Jewelry thieves who triggered a stampede at the great mall in milpitas. Three men robbed valiani jewelers back in august and they smashed display cases and stole thousands of dollars worth of jewels. Shoppers heard loud bangs and someone then yelled gunmen. That set off a Chain Reaction with hundreds of people and a gang running out of the mall. Now, there is a 5,000 reward for any information leading to the thieves arrest. Some bay area students protested Climate Change today skipping school, gathering outside the Investment Firm in San Francisco. So, thats some good news and i also think totals are going to be down a bit from what it originally looked like earlier in this week. All in all, its better for us to get some rainfall. But we shouldnt have major flooding issues. Now, we might get some ponding on the roadways, some flooding in the north bay, but we should stay away from larger issues based on what im seeing on the radar right now. Lets go ahead and put a track on this and you can see were getting rainfall over to the east bay and a few heavier pockets pushing into martinez by 7 05. Lets bring you down to the south and rainfall for you moving off to san ramon at 6 56 and then you can see by 11 00 tonight, well continue with this rain chance across the bay area.
