Happy tuesday. Markets continue to fall on worries about tariffs. Ill get to that in a second. Pg e closer to getting finalized. The Market Committee starts a twoday Interest Rate meeting today. We dont expect any changes but the fed raises rates when the economy heats up in order to fight inflation. The fed thought for a long time you need higher rates when unemployment hits about 4 to protect prices. Weve been well under 4 unemployment for two years and nothing happened. It sounds, okay, boring. But the rule to our economy, the ones weve lived on for years, you know they might be wrong and President Trump might be right. It happened yesterday, but i want to talk about it anyway. The death of paul volcker the former head chairman saved the American Economy in the 70s and early 80s by raising rates to fight inflation and did so to the point where people lost their homes. Many. Ill maybe check it out over the holidays. The second one. Yes. Shes not alone. Yeah. So, something to check out maybe for the holidays as we get ready for the next one to come out and heres a live look out in san rafael this morning. We have to get to work. We are seeing some all clear visibility for most of our microclimates right now. And, also, no rain. But we have seen more clouds coming in and thats keeping that fog from getting really thick out there. But we are going to see the rain approaching by later tonight into the day tomorrow. There is another storm right behind that. Both of these systems are fairly weak and will bring us some light rain and its not going to be a big soaker like the previous storms we had. And then as we take you hour by hour and we go throughout the day with some clearing into the afternoon. But thats before the rain starts to make its way into the north bay later on this evening. Were going to start to see that rain in parts of the north bay from santa rosa down to san rafael and napa by about 8 00 tonight. And then going into the day tomorrow were going to start out with some rain off and on showers. There will be some breaks in this, as well. Most of that rain will be out of here by tomorrow afternoon. And then another wave of rain moving in early thursday morning. So, with all of the rain off and on, were only looking at about a quarter to half inch of rain for the north bay and then for the rest of the bay area, very light amounts for san jose. Up to about a quarter of an inch for the east bay and close to half an inch in San Francisco. Going into the weekend, well see another chance of rain. Once again, that also looks like a weak system. But may impact your weekend plans. But the good news is that all of this clears out for the Football Games on sunday. Were looking really nice inland reaching the upper 50s. And then for San Francisco, we also have some mid to upper 50s. Heading over to mike, youre tracking the problem on the bay bridge. Thats right, kari. Were looking at the span here with our video input set to the bay bridge temorivle. Ut closely packed up the incline. These are a little slow getting towards that tunnel at Treasure Island and somewhere near the onramp reports of that disabled vehicle still blocking the slow lane and chp updated their report. Even though we dont have a tow truck on scene we get an update from folks a vehicle stuck in the right side there and that is problem getting over from the oakland side. The metering lights are turned on and the approach is great but across the span, lets time it out with our friends over at waze. Traffic flow through the area and 45, 47 minutes as we will readjust.
