Alameda county rose to nearly 900,000. Now, San Francisco fell slightly down to 1. 53 million. Lets get back to rob mayeda right now. We had a scorcher in parts of the bay area today. We saw the fires along 505. Whats in store for us, rob . Well, were watching what we expect to be another hot day tomorrow as this heat mini wave if you will is just peaking in time for the weekend. Outside right now, clear skies in san jose and pretty close to 70 degrees. We had a high of 91 today. Similar temperatures expected tomorrow around the Santa Clara Valley. Weve had a few grass and brush fires of late. Some of that smoke you might have noticed drifting in during the morning hours. So well see moderate air quality levels through the Santa Clara Valley and inland east bay for tomorrow. Then we should see better air quality as the sea breeze picks up and we see cooler temperatures by monday. Very interesting right now. 50s and 60s around the coast and the inner bay. Thats near the cooler water. But inland to get that type of cooling, you need a strong sea breeze. You also usually need some low clouds and fog. So we got the winds somewhat onshore, but the coolant to that ocean a. C. Just isnt there. Notice during the day tomorrow, no sign of any fog on the coast. Then as the breeze starts to pick up during the afternoon, here comes the low clouds right down the coast. By tomorrow evening approaching the coastline there, setting the stage for a much cooler monday. But for tomorrow we wake up to temperatures in the 50s in the hills. We may see 60s to start the day. Low to mid90s around san jose tomorrow. Trivalley temperatures approaching 100 degrees again. Livermore out toward tracy might be a little hotter tomorrow as the winds pick up for the afternoon. Oakland, bayside, not too bad. 70s and 80s there but near 100 degrees out towards concord and antioch. Peninsula, 70s and 80s from redwood city into palo alto. San francisco with that west wind at 20 still near 70 degrees. The north bay, 90s to above 100 degrees once you get up into lake county and Mendocino County for tomorrow. That Desert Southwest high which kind of ploonballooned outward towards california shows signs of weakening. Mondays temperatures now, notice the dropoff. The valleys back into the 80s. So cooling kicks in as much as 10 to 15 degrees of cooling but thats going to be monday. Tomorrow still pretty hot inland. San francisco near 70 tomorrow. Speaking of the wind, i think were going to get more of that for tomorrow afternoon into evening unlike we saw today. You couple that with those 90s inland, low humidity levels, inland hills will have to watch for fire danger. But at least our temperatures start to cool off. Even though theyll rise the middle part of the week doesnt look like were going to get to 100 degrees. That big cooldown arrives just in time for monday. Lets check in with anthony flores.
