Very colorful character. Folks say this peacock makes piercing shrieks day and night. Angry complaints but also some scribbles of support for the bird. Apparently hes feral. We do know the peacock is uncooperative. He never made a peep to our camera despite dedicated stalking by the photographer and the peacock refused to show off that magnificent tail. So he keeping quiet on everything thats going on. We do enjoy peacock stories here at nbc. Its all part of the family. Lets bring in our chief meteorologist jeff ranieri. Its not related to our peacock. Yeah, the nbc peacock. We have some really good exactly. Weve got some really great weather out there the next couple of days. And then eventually well get into some hotter weather. And were also going to be talking about where we could see some smoke in our sky. So lets go ahead and start off that microclimate forecast. This afternoon, theres a lot of little moving parts out here across the west. So well give you that expansive view of what were dealing with right now. We do have this hot air trying to move in from the south, but the fog at the immediate coastline saved us again from getting tripledigit heat today. So theres the good news. You want rainfall . There is no sign of that. Look at this, the storm track well, well up into canada. So what about that smoke that ive been mentioning . Well take you down to a closer view and i want to show you that as you move through tomorrow, we are looking at this fire that recently started, the mineral fire down near fresno. At least 1,000 acres, 5 contained. The way the wind will be switching tomorrow, coming out of the south, moving to the north, we could see a few smoke particles move through the central valley. Maybe close to the bay area. So there is an air quality advisory for us. Right now we do not expect thick smoke, but you could see the sky become a little hazier than weve been used to seeing, especially over towards contracosta and alameda counties. If you see that off toward the distance tomorrow, thats where that smoke would be coming from. As you roll through tomorrows forecast, fog at the coastline, Cool Temperatures to start. Really, really good here. 58 in the south bay. 59, peninsula. Trivalley at 57. Best chance of the low clouds and fog right there in San Francisco and the north bay with mid50s. East bay all coming in with some patchy clouds near the bay and 57 degrees. As we roll through tomorrow, we have another stunning day down here in the south bay. I got winds out of the northwest at 13 miles per hour. So thats fairly light. 38 in morgan hill. 85 in san jose. 82 in cupertino. Right here for the east bay, not too hot tomorrow. We have temperatures primarily staying in the 80s. We have one 90 out there towards antioch. 86 in walnut creek. 74 in oakland. The peninsula sunshine remains for the afternoon and this will set us up with 81 in palo alto. There you can see our routine temperature drop as you get more up the peninsula to daly city down to 65 and that cold ocean breeze in Half Moon Bay at 62. San francisco will have 50s right near the marina. As you head towards the embarcadero and the mission, some 60s. Numbers probably the most comfortable here across mill valley and then look at this big temperature change all the way up to ukiah away from any kind of ocean breeze. A much hotter 100 degrees. Now, my extended forecast in San Francisco really simple. Well keep those 60s as we head throughout the next several days. A little bit of morning fog and some afternoon sunshine looks really, really good. Temperatures actually a little bit below average here of that 72 average. And for the inland valleys, well be at 89 tomorrow. And then it does heat up to 95 by saturday seas forecast. So much, much hotter then. Now, coming up at 6 00, we are going to take a look at the fire outlook and when we could see things really start to increase with our wildfire danger and well have that come up for you at 6 00. No sign of any peacocks in my backyard right now, you guys, lucy would definitely be on it. Shes taking a nap, so i think were good in the backyard. She really likes napping at this time. She does.
