As of midnight sunday malls including westfield and japantown mall are back on lockdown after being open a month. Business owners at japantown say the shutdowns have been tough with retailers spending money to ensure businesses are safe. Some Business Owners say theyre worried they may not be able to survive another round of closures. In addition to some more business closures San FranciscoPublic Health orders now require private Health Care Providers to take on some of that testing responsibility. Private clinics and hospitals are now obligated to test any highrisk worker like the nurses or those who work in a highly dense environment like hotels. At this point every county in the bay area is now on the watch list except for one. That being san mateo. We know for the past week weve had drifts of smoke coming in especially for parts of the south bay and east bay, even making it into the north bay. The good thing is that the smoke is higher in the atmosphere and its not having as big of an impact on our air quality. So even though we are seeing hazy skies its not really choking us out here. The mineral fire is moving through the Central Valley and during the early hours when the wind is light, that allows it to drift into the bay area. But then as we go into the afternoon once our ocean breeze kicks in that onshore wind flow pushes the smoke off to the east. As we look at our high temperatures for the day this is about where we should be for this time of year looking at some mid to upper 80s in some of the valleys. Our weather continues like this, but a couple of degrees warmer each day as we go towards the end of the week, well start to feel it with our inland valleys reaching up to 90 gless. No major changes. Well, developing for you right now in the east coast the search for a gunman who shot the husband and son of a federal judge at their home in new jersey. The son of judge esther salas died. Her husband remains in very critical condition. The suspect was reportedly dressed like a fedex delivery man, and its believed her husband was shot multiple times after answering the door. Her son then ran to the door and was shot as well before the gunman took off. Judge esther salas has had several highprofile cases. Last week she was assigned to handle the classaction lawsuit by Bank Investors who claimed the bank made false statements about antimoney laundering policy and failed to monitor highrisk customers like jeffrey epstein. In portland, oregon, a battle between the state and federal authorities tied to chaotic protests. Over the weekend protesters were met with tear gas and more reports of unlawful detainment by unidentified Law Enforcement officers. President trump said he sent federal agents to confront the anarchists. State and local leaders do not want federal agents involved.
