Kind of nice day today. It just seemed warm but not unusually warm. Yeah, yeah. Warm day out there. Not too hot. Just kind of right there in the middle. But we definitely are going to get more heat building in that extended forecast. For one thing though, it has been saving us from triple digits this past couple of weeks. So we will bring you outside to the High Definition skycam ra network. The skycam that tells the story is San Francisco. In july the fog rolling in, pretty typical, but its just been this backtoback pattern that, again, has kept our temperatures out of the 100s. Good news again there. You will see it moving in fast here at 2,500 feet, pushing into San Francisco. We do expect the low clouds to stay in place tonight and temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s next couple hours and then we will be solid here with 50s once we hit later on tonight and those clouds. For tomorrow morning i expect patchy clouds even down towards the south bay, just a little bit there. But a better chance of those early clouds for the peninsula and trivalley and well also start in the 50s. Right over to the east bay, San Francisco and the north bay will have a better chance of some widespread cloud cover and down to my chilliest here in the north bay at 54 degrees. Lets get you a topdown view of the cloud cover. I think this helps you plan for the morning if youre up early. You will know where youre running into fog and drizzle. You will see its where we usually see it this time of year over ma ririn, napa, sonoma counties, oakland, of course, San Francisco. But maybe not as much for the trivalley and south bay. The one spot maying gilroy and thats just from cloud cover undercutting it and moving in from the south. As we hit the afternoon, sunshine returns and we will have another nice day. That means, yes, it will be warm but83 in los gatos, 81 morgan hill. Few upper 80s to 90s near pittsburg and antioch but look how it drops off. Over to hayward, 75. Closer to the beaches, we will be even cooler of course. 71 in san mateo and there you go, cold 60 in half moon bay. That trend of 60s continues into San Francisco for embarcadero, mission and ingleside. And the north bay, got to head up to napa or sonoma tomorrow . Well have low 80s and we will get some sunshine. If youre doing traveling, i know a lot of us are hunkered down at home, doing work from home, but if you are traveling, i want you to know about hurricane douglas. Looks like this weekend if youre traveling to hawaii maybe to visit family, check on folks, we are looking at this approaching the big island. Once we hit 11 00 a. M. On sunday, its a category 1 hurricane. Winds 75 miles per hour, and moving over the islands as we head through sunday into monday. My early rain estimate is really anywhere from half inch to four inches. Wideranging totals and winds 40 to 75 miles per hour. Theres more time for this to potentially change but we will be keeping an eye on that storm track for you. In San Francisco, we keep it in the 60s the next several days with some of the fog mixing in and those rays of sun for the afternoon. Inland valleys, i want you to see once we hit saturday, sunday and monday, low 90s return but its not an extended stretch of heat. We will see it drop down by next tuesday and wednesday. Thats kind of been the best part of the weather, we go up, go back down, go back up again and we go back down again. I think thats been a Little Silver lining for folks who dont have ac. At least they dont have to worry about some extreme heat moving in most immediately. Jeff, we are moving into fire se what that will look like . You know, as we head into august, i was looking at the longrange forecast yesterday. It doesnt appear right now we would see several days in a row of 100s so august may actually offer us hope in that respect. Everything though is bone dry out there. Yeah. So i think august we could have help on the temperatures and right now theres no big win events over the next seven to ten days so thats also good news. All in all, were not doing too bad here for july at this point. Lets hope so. Thank you, jeff. Still to come having a meal in the middle of the street.
