So orange tier. The excitement didnt last long. The county quickly announced the move is too risky and will in the allow fans to return to the stadium. Superspreader events will be not be allowed within the county. The changes in the state guidelines regarding professional sports are in our opinion really quite dangerous. County leaders say even at 20 capacity which the state allows. Too many people from the county where the positive rate is 1 would be mixing with fans from areas where the Positivity Rate is higher. In a tweet the niners issued a statement applauding the decision. Michelle is disappointed. She was hoping to bring her son to a game this year. It got everybody excited saying they will open. And its horrible. The decision also prevents earthquakes fans from watching professional soccer at the stadium. Team leaders say they will follow cal Public Health guidelines. No question that this dangerous. This is the worst thing in the world to be doing. At a time period when california is beginning to see some light. This amounts to another step back. Now to San Francisco. About to look and feel much more like normal. Today it became the states first urban area to graduate into the yellow tier. Thats the yellow coronavirus tier. Also the bay area only county to be in that tier. You can see the map. This means more businesses can reopen. Many already opened can soon invite more people inside. Beginning november 3. Election day. Restaurants will be to serve 50 of capacity inside. The same goes for museums, zoos and movie theaters. Indoor Fitness Centers can allow 25 starting next tuesday. The more we get the tours the more all of us will benefit. The city says its reviewing applications by school. To reopen on a rolling basis. Its possible high schools could be bringing students back on campus in november. One other note. Napa county moved into the orange tier today. The registrar of voters in emptying the drop off boxes more frequently because of the high volume. The post office has seen their share as well. Hes been loading the mail bag for 30 years walking door to door. Scott says this year the political mail is relentless. Democracy is important. Were a part of it. Were able to get the job done. He says homeowners are handing him ballots instead of leaving them out to grab. The service says most are using the white ballot drop off boxes. These images are from mailboxes at post offices. They tend to fill up rapidly. But emptied multiple times a day. I have been voting ever since i became a citizen. The turn out has been incredibly high so far. One week ago 38,000 voters had already returned ballots in the county. Today that number is up to 220,000. Registrar says thats a significant increase from previous president ial elections. How big is this election . So big. Because of 2020. Workers have been emptying on monday, wednesday and friday. But switching to daily. Because of the high turn out. Turn out scott hasnt seen in his 30 years of pounding the pavement. California theme parks have a path to reopen. But dont expect disney listened to open for a while. Theme parks throughout the state have been closed since midmarch. Today large theme parks can open. If they are in a county that is in the minimal or yellow tier. Right now places like Great America and disney land and six flags dont fit in one of the counties in the yellow tier. Once they can reopen, theyll have to implement new protocol. That require masks. Social distancing and reduced capacity. People may keep the guard up while theyre in the a theme park. But when they are Milling Around the community the guard may go down. That could be enough to create out breaks and transmission risk. That california just doesnt want to see. Essentially the earliest most major theme parks in the state could are open is next month.
