Jeff, a few minutes ago you told us you were going to talk to us about the hour by hour, the ticktock about the wind event, the weather event coming this weekend. Take us through when are we going to see the worst of it . I think sunday night thats definitely when things are going to be ramping up for us into early monday morning. Thats going to be the zone of the biggest concern for us. As we get a look right now i did want to show you this wide reaching storm system thats going to bring this wind chance, this fire danger back to the bay area, and this stretches from California Well over towards parts of the central u. S. As this cold storm drops down sunday and monday, heres the crazy thing. Its going to bring down the cold air also to colorado where theyre getting the fires. And that would bring them 1 to 2 feet of snow. Again, helping their fire danger out, but that very same storm system is going to hurt us and were going to get the windy side of it sunday, monday and tuesday. So kind of two sides to this storm system. The highest fire danger overall as i mentioned is sunday into monday. And you can see all of the bay area is in this red color here. Thats the red flag fire warning in effect for all of us. 20 to 50 plus mile per hour winds up across the mountains, and lower elevations 15 to 40 mile per hour wind gusts. Sustained winds 15 to 30 and humidity at about 10 . The thing that makes it so different is its not just for the mountain peaks, its for everyone. Through tomorrow i think were good to go. Youve got to get ice to keep things cold in the fridge, check the generator, get some gasoline, maybe check for weak tree limb, and you can see by 9 00 p. M. Saturday its still not that gusty. Sunday morning you can see that red color here with the key at the top of the screen. Those are winds about 30 to 40 Miles Per Hour. And where we get into trouble is once we hit sunday night. You can see how that red to magenta color expands across the north bay, the east bay mountains and also down here through the Santa Cruz Mountains. Then as we progress through monday, well continue with that wind into the morning hours. Then eventually as we head into monday night and sunday well gradually start to see that wind tapering off. Tomorrow mornings forecast we have 50s, a bit of fog near the bay and coast, only exception is the north bay. Itll be down to 47. Daytime highs dropping at that colder storm gets close. Down to 73 concord, 67 oakland and 70 palo alto. San francisco stays with 60s through tuesday. And across the inland valleys as that colder system gets here well be down to 69 on sunday, monday 72 degrees, and not too hot as we head through next week. Well be here to cover it all weekend long all the way through next week with some extra staffing. So any changes in that forecast, well let everyone know for sure. Jeff, thank you very much.
