As far as rain, it looks like the remnants of the moisture is bringing us fog and you can see that up in napa and down to less than a mile down to visibility. It has been eight months since coronavirus restrictions first became the new way of life for us. And in recent months, the bay area has picked up speed in easing some restrictions. But now local leaders are looking at pausing reopenings because of a new rise in covid cases. In fact, covid cases are surging statewide up nearly 50 in the first week of november. Because of that Santa Clara County is joining with San Francisco, contra costa and marin counties to go back to a ban on all Indoor Dining. Santa clara expects that the county will fall back into the more restrictive tier on tuesday. That means some nonessential businesses cannot operate indoors and it means reduced capacity for other businesses. Similar to in march when we had a rapid increase in cases, we may be needing to take additional restrictions quickly. Local Health Experts warn that the current increase in positivity rates are an indication that hospitals will have an influx of patients in two weeks. They urge locals to remember everyone plus do their part, masks and social distancing are considered the best methods to protect yourself and others. Fluctuating restrictions are hard to keep track of so heres a breakdown. The counties in yellow are starting all Indoor Dining on tuesday. The city and county of San Francisco in red is shutting Indoor Dining today. Sonoma county also in red. As for indoor workouts contra costa is closing all gyms on tuesday. The counties in purple, santa clara, marin, are limiting the number of people allowed inside. In San Francisco, those changes start today. In marin and santa clara counties the new restrictions begin tuesday. The counties in green, napa, solana, san mateo are letting people work out inside but in limited numbers. Turning now to the president ial election. After a week and a half, the race has now been called in every state. Just yesterday, nbc news called the race in georgia with 99 of the ballots in. Joe biden is the apparent winner in the peach state with a little a lead of little more than 14,000 votes. Although a hand recount is still under way there. President trump picked up a win in north carolina, but despite that, he fell further behind in the overall electoral vote count. Joe biden leads 306232. President trump still not conceding the race but just yesterday, his first public remarks in a week he hinted at acknowledging that the next Administration May not be his. This administration will not be going to a lockdown. Hopefully the whatever happens in the future, who knows which administration it will be, i guess time will tell. The Biden Transition Team says it is moving ahead with plans even though it is being shut out of white house intelligence. Even with President Trump losing reelection, he has broken a record here in california. More than 5 1 2 million californians voted for President Trump. President elect biden also broke a record with the number of votes he won in california, 10 million californians voted for him. 20 million americans could get a vaccination before the end of the year.
