Hospitalization and admissions have gone up over 35 . Just in the last two weeks. That percentage appears to be growing quickly. Our county like many counties is seeing a significant and rapid up tick in cases. Its not just the number of cases its about how fast this happened. Santa clara Health Officer is concerned about the rise lg hospitalization ratd and since the surge is happening across the state, any county that starts running low on hospital beds it may not be able to rely on other counties for help. San hoz the number of Covid Patients jumped from 18 to 44 patients in three weeks. Onethird are in icu. The hospital says it does have enough ppe sp beds. But it is strategizing on how to increase capacity if the surge continues. We have over flow units and expand into areas that can be modified to take either icu care or med surge. Regional Medical Center is working to beef up staff. The positive rate is 4. 6 . All time low of 2. 5 was one month ago. Its alarming situation. Across the bay area right now.
