Korg recruits Fordera’s William DeYoung to Spector Musical Instruments 12th April 2021 Spector Musical Instruments, part of Korg USA, has recruited William DeYoung as a luthier, production manager, and multi-instrumentalist. The company aims to use DeYoung’s expertise in various areas of instrument production to help it deliver its “heirloom-quality” instruments. DeYoung joins from Fodera Guitars in Brooklyn, New York, where he worked for six years as a luthier and production manager. At Fodera, DeYoung was also involved in developing instruments, business planning and overseeing production staff. Previously, DeYoung worked as a repair technician in Ohio, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Adrian College in Michigan.
