The man who shot him is on standard leave while the department investigates. We learned the four firefighters have been hurt battling a fire in the sierra foothills. Cal fire said they have been airlifted out of the area and treated for burns. The fire burned about 1500 acres in plaser and nevato counties. It is burning west of alta and spreading to the north.
