Cal fire has about 300 on the fire lines today. They wanted 450. Theres some crews here that have been out for two to three weeks going from fire to fire. It has to be exhausting. The temporary numbers allow to you use your credit card online in the same way mobile payment platforms like apple and android pay allow to you use them in stores. Charging your credit card without ever revealing your actual number. The temporary number is limit fraud. Pure and simple. Reporter doug johnson of the
American Bankers Association<\/a> says they are offered by most major banks including citibank and bank of america. And app called blur lets you shop online without revealing your card number. While it can thwart cyber thieves, an expert says banks already have zero liability policies if criminals ring up fraudulent purchases on your cards. The most effective ways to reduce fraud is really just to pay close attention to your statements making sure that there arent any unauthorized transactions and if there are, you refute them quickly and efficiently.
