Left on the streets. One neighbor tells me off camera she is selling her condo because of those problems. Its disgraceful somebody would do that. These are people. [ bleep ] or we will gladly beat you silly. Reporter skateboarders find the threatening letter extreme. A psycho, honestly, whoever left this. Reporter corey moved his tent about two blocks away. I hope that people dont turn to this gentleman and his actions and think thats the right thing to do. Reporter neighbors say they are not happy about the homeless situation, but they are sympathetic with the folks who live here. They have learned to live with them because these tents have been here for a few years. For the folks who moved in recently, they said they learned to expect that when they moved into the area. With this reaching the level of threats, are the police now getting involved . Reporter there were some witnesses that took down that neighbors license plate as he was driving away. They handed that information to the police. We are not sure if thats going to result in any kind of arrest at this point. Thank you, don. New video tonight of a brazen robbery inside a San Francisco taxi. Police say a suspect hailed the cab at 11th and geary, got inside, grabbed the drivers bag and took off. Police are still searching for the suspect. Well, a more benign topic of weather. In the north bay there are wind advisories posted. After the warm dry weather we have been having, wind advisories are posted as the gradient offshore with low pressure sinking down south means we will get gusty winds tonight, especially in the north bay. The National Weather service raised wind advisories for the north bay hills all the way over to sacramento for sustained northerly winds up to 50 miles per hour. Gusts that high anyway. The strongest gusty we could find at this hour in santa rosa up to 29 miles per hour. It will be windy through midnight tonight. As for what happens next, we will have the forecast in just a few minutes. A new bill making its way through the state legislature would require Utility Companies to come up with specific policies and protocols for cutting power during winter storms. Earlier this week fire investigators announced a combination of strong winds, dry brush, and arcing power lines that sparked at least two small fires. The night the wine country firestorm burst erupted in october. Had we had Something Like this in place, we more likely would have not had anywhere near the damage or anywhere near the amount of fires that we have had in the state of california. Safety is always our top priority at pg e. At this point the utility has no plans to cut power this weekend. It has been four months since those deadly fires tore through a santa rosa Mobile Home Park. Tonight residents are still not able to go home. Kpix 5s devin fehely was there today when they learned it could be years before they can move back. Reporter months after the firestorm reduced much of it to ash, the Mobile Home Park in santa rosa has balanced on a razorgetween ruin and recovery. I am an old lady with a whole bunch of stuff and a kitty and absolutely nowhere to go as of thursday or friday morning. Reporter pamela lee taylor joined dozens of former neighbors at a Community Meeting this morning hoping to learn when she might be able to return home. But the news was not good. The owner of the Mobile Home Park says it could be months or even years before they can rebuild or reopen. The infrastructure at the park was destroyed. All of the well systems were destroyed. The transformers that provided power for the utilities were destroyed. Reporter 44 mobile homes survived the fire. But without gas or water or power the houses have been red tagged and residents barred from returning. We have to go home. We cant make it. Thats our home. Thats our natural instinct, to go there. Reporter michelle trammells home survived as well, but she and her 71year old mother have struggled to find a permanent place to stay until the park reopens. And because her home is intact, she has little to no help from her insurance. I am not going to take my mom and have her live in a homeless encampment behind the dollar store in santa rosa. Reporter the parks owner wants to provide Affordable Housing, but right now the road home for residents is filled with obstacles and uncertainty. To have all of these people that i care about, that weve tried to provide Affordable Housing to for over 50 years suddenly become homeless, its emotional for us. Reporter the cleanup that is currently going on is only the first phase. The cycle will be turned over to the u. S. Army corps of engineers before any rebuilding can occur. Devin fehely, kpix 5. The dmvs Oakland Coliseum office will be closed next week due to flood damage. The building flooded earlier this week after a thief stole copper piping from the rooftop airconditioning unit. The mess amounts to tens of thousands of dollars in damage, but despite the closure the dmv will conduct driving tests at the coliseum office. People with existing appointments will be seen. A San Francisco man behind bars in rhode island tonight after a traffic stop revealed a van packed with pot. Here is a look at the haul. Thats about 400,000 worth of vacuumpacked marijuana. State troopers say the van was also hauling hundreds of vials of hash oil. They discovered it yesterday afternoon after pulling the 29 yearold over for speeding in the city of warrick. He is being held without bail on drug possession and delivery charges. Reporter last year, Law Enforcement agencies in marin county starting getting life saving training as they battle the Opioid Epidemic. Now we are seeing signs that that training is paying off as a deputy becomes the first in the Marin County Sheriffs Department to save a life. It was scary. So im just glad that im glad shes okay. Reporter it was deputy buck holts first call of her career and she knew what to do. I keep it right here. I just grabbed it and my a. E. D. Right here and just ran inside the house. Reporter luckily for the 21 yearold woman the the officer was in the area. When she arrived the man in the house told her what opioid she overdosed on and narcan was administered. She received two. She did. She was still unresponsible. So thats why i did cpr and then all of a sudden she just came back. Reporter while Deputy Buchholz was the hero friday night, the man who started this lifesaving medication a year ago. Its not that often that you have an experience where something that you have done has directly potentially saved subs life. Reporter according to health and services, Drug Overdose is the leading cause of accidental death and the majority are due to prescription drugs. Our community, like every other community in the country, has been grappling with the Opioid Epidemic. We have people overdosing and people who are dying. Reporter but with narcan, which blocks the effects of opioids, now placed in every patrol car Law Enforcement agencies are making Great Strides in preventing overdose deaths. I think it was the narcan, it saved her life. Reporter narcan is available at select pharmacies. This one says im not a bathroom because oh, yeah, yeah. Thats yeah, thats good. Reporter jessica and her husband say they see a lack of manners all the time. There is even a twitter account, bart diaries, that was made for people to share what they see while on the train. There really are people out there that dont have that common decency and need that reminder. Reporter the people we spoke to blame bad manners on the pace of Todays Society and, not surprisingly, technology. They need things to remind them because they are more into their electronics and just block the whole world out. People still have manners. They sometimes tend not to use them. Reporter we skyped with a certified etiquette trainer. No one is making eye contact. No one is talking. Everybody has their headsets in. So i think we need to unplug and get back into the real world. Reporter how to solve that may be take more than bright and colorful posters, but bart riders tell us its worth a shot. Get up. Give someone a seat. Dont sit in a disabled seat.
