It is the same academy officer sullivan went to and graduated before starting on the force in sacramento. The officer was shot and killed while helping a woman gather her things from a home last night to leave an abusive relationship. Police took cover as a gunman continue to fire on the men were unable to reach her for nearly an hour. The shoot off continued turning this neighborhood into a battlefield. The standoff went on through the night. The officer later died at the hospital.
