The Northern California event that we are heading into is expected to peak overnight tonight. We are expecting the winds to taper off for Northern California in the 10 am to noon time frame. At that time we will be looking at our weather stations across the territory as well as other intel from our High Resolution cameras and field crews play strategically out in the field in order to determine and recommend an all clear so crews can restore power for Northern California. Across the south it does look like the winds will taper off friday from 10 am to noon. That is when we expect to issue the all clear at noon on friday. Looking ahead, unfortunately for all of us, we appear to be stuck in a weather pattern conducive to these offshore wind patterns. We are looking at and continuing to monitor continuing offshore winds that could impact Northern California saturday night to monday afternoon. Some forecast models like the european models suggest that this could be the strongest wind event of the season. Unfortunately and potentially stronger than the october 911 event. A word of caution. Were several days out from that event. Right now it is looking like potential to be a significant event. And to add onto that, fuels at the surface are expected to dry out with this event we are going through right now. We do not anticipate any significant recovery in fuel moisture. We are anticipating fuels to be as dry if not dryer so it could have the potential to be a significant event this weekend. Predictive services is forecasting high risk of significant fires for this weekend event and high risk across multiple Predictive Service areas in Northern California.
