When i put it in drive, it sounded like it was going to blow up. Reporter shes waiting for her Insurance Company to get it repaired. Without a car for a week is tough, especially being disabled. That makes it even harder sometimes. Reporter Law Enforcement agencies across the east bay from livermore to albany to erics richmond neighborhood are warning car owners about an increase in catalytic converter thefts often targeting prius types. It is a troubling trend. Fueling frustration amongst prius owners who feel like theyre at the mercy of the thieves. The out of pocket costs are quite a bit more than what theyre getting for selling this stolen catalytic converter. Just worry it happens again in the future. There are aftermarket products you can add to your car to make a theft like this more difficult. Theres an open question amongst mechanics about whether or not this will prevent a theft or simply slow the thieves down. In richmond, devin fehely, kpix 5. Oakland police slammed the brakes on side show activity at two intersections last night. Several others were detained at a second location on 66th. In a new lawsuit, cal fire says the beloved california burger chain was responsible for a 2017 wildfire in San Luis Obispo county. It burned 182 acres over four days. In its lawsuit, cal fire claims a tractor mowing dry grass and brush on in n out property sparked the flames. The agency says the tractor was improperly maintained and the driver allowed the fire to spread. Calfire is seeking 1. 2 million from the burger chain to recoup costs.
