In the midst of all this social distancing, people came together today to sing i left my heart in San Francisco and to remember why they love the city. John ramos has the story. Its not hard to find social distancing in San Francisco. The trick these days is to find a way to keep people together. San francisco feels a lot different from the place tony bennett began singing lovingly. I never thought in 100 years that it would be this quiet. So at noon today, people took to song to show where their hearts still lie. I left my heart, in San Francisco. From professional crooners to former mayors, to the legions on social media trapped in their homes, the city may have changed, but the song remains the same. Mark robinson has sung in clubs all across town but says todays performance was one for the books. Ive had some weird gigs but playing to an empty union square is right up there. I think for this, you know, youre going to feel that there are people out in and i can kind of use my imagination for that. A small but appropriately spaced crowd did form outside the Fairmont Hotel as its general manager led a sing along next to the statue of tony bennett. And former mayor, willie brown who used to hit the right notes as a politician did his best with the old standard. My love waits there it doesnt sound quite right at union square either. This place would normally be teaming with tourists but now some of the most Famous Stores in the world sit quiet and empty. Its a bit unnerving and thats what todays song break was all about. The idea is to lift all of our spirits in this very challenging and uncertain time. And for people to be reminded that San Francisco is really an incredible and special place. And while its true that the vibrancy of the city by the bay may be under wraps right now, the day will come when this place will once again be open to welcome back those who left their hearts here. In San Francisco, john ramos, kpix 5. The sing along was initiated by the chief of protocol and was intended as a tribute to all of you Front Line Health Care workers and First Responders working during the shelter in place. It gives you the which i ams when you hear that. You the chills when you hear that. A beautiful rendition for the city. What a cool story for today. Pretty warm out there lately. If youre wondering, were not breaking records, but were about 10 degrees above average friday and saturday, stand out as the peak. Concord im using you as my example, its going to get a little cooler over the next few days, but not significantly. The average would be 72 right now. So were going to go from 89 and 88 which we just did back to 80 for the high for sunday and monday. 8 to 9 degrees cooler. But its still a solid 8 degrees above average for this time of the year. Look what happens on tuesday, another warm up coming. Lets do this for san jose, arch average would be 72. Coolest number is 77. 83 is coming back on tuesday. Oakland average would be 67. So we were 10 degrees above average today when we hit that 77. Well go back down to 70 by sunday. And in the city, well get back down in the mid 60s. But still, 64 would be average. We were 10 degrees above that yesterday at 70 today. If we want to see how things play out tomorrow. Were all ready seeing one of the items that will help. Higher clouds come around now. But tomorrow morning we pull the marine layer back in. That will also help. If you look at the future cast, that gets us to tomorrow. The gray built back in along the coast. Once we get into the late morning, its going to pull into the bay. You can see enough of the marine layer that we can expect to wake up to low gray clouds in the east bay. By the time we get to the late morning, were back into sunshine. And these are what the temperatures will look like while thats happening. Low to mid 50s tonight. Daytime highs tomorrow, we just saw these for places like concord and san jose. But heres the rest of the daytime highs from across the rest of the bay area. Well top out at 72 tomorrow in redwood city and fremont. Well go to 74 in san rafel. Looking ahead, weve seen how temperatures will warm back up by the time we get to tuesday. Now lets spread this out over the next seven. And if you look toward the end of the sevenday forecast, those temperatures get back to average by the end of this next coming week. And not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but look at the inland number on saturday. See that 74 there. See how there are a bunch of clouds. Theres a small chance we might even get grazed by a few light showers in the north bay as we approach next weekend. But it doesnt look like that big of a deal. I dont have rain in the forecast there. Its going to stay warm. A lot like it was today. And then well get a little break by the end of next week. Ill be back with more on this coming up in the 6 00 hour, for now guys, back to you. I cant wait to take the ball and do this show. Coming up in sports, the 2020 draft is in the books. And the 49ers were busy on day three. Rounds four through seven. Well bring it all down. And while im sad and disappointed my time has come to step away, i leave with my head held high knowing i gave my all to the game. So big number 71 here. Trent williams comes over to replace him on the offensive line. 49ers traded with the redskins to get the seventime pro bowler. It cost two draft picks. Williams did not play last season and had been seeking a trade after a dispute with the Washington Redskins medical staff. He was the fourth over all pick in the 2010 draft and played four seasons for then redskins offensive coordinator, kyle shanahan. How well does williams know richard sherman. This is from 2013. Williams was fined over 7,000 for that slap after seattle beat washington in the playoffs. And now, theyre teammates. 49ers empire say goodbye to matt, traded to the Miami Dolphins for a fifth round pick parting ways with 1900yards and six touchdowns in three seasons. The team also traded wide receiver marquis goodwin. Hell run routes with the Philadelphia Eagles now. 49ers got a sixth round pick for him. Strong 2017. Injury plagued the last two seasons. Before the draft, we were told our own denis odonnell, hey, nfl teams, dont sleep on him come draft day. You dont see it that way. I know. What do you see . I see myself as a future pro bowler. A starter. A person that is going to turn a team around or keep a team winning. Now, i dont claim to be this great nfl professor, but if i was, i tell you, 55 of all nfl rosters are filled with guys drafted in rounds 4 through 7 plus draft picks. Well, youve seen the history behind it all. So you have a good record to stand behind. Yeah, ill take it. Well discuss this later, in the mean time, we have to generate some revenu captioning sponsored by c
