If you want to dip out and use 85 instead you are free flowing, wideopen freeways with no delays there. Take a look at traffic elsewhere, we do have reports of a trouble spot is found 580 right at palo verde road. Not too far from the foothill t next report. I am ann markovic at the live week alone. Developing this morning, a cold case sub from livermore has been released from jail over coronavirus concerns. Gregory vien was arrested last november after dna evidence linked him to assaults from 1997. He is accused of attacking and two women. The District Attorneys Office said vien had been behind bars at the Alameda County jail. He was facing more than a half dozen felony charges. He was released friday after his attorney successfully argued his health was at risk due to covid19. I dont believe anyone in the community ever imagined that people facing these kinds of serious, serious felony Assault Charges would be suddenly released from jail and sent back to live in the community. According to the das office, vien is back in his home in livermore wearing a gps tracking device. Of course im worried of the safety of the community. I dont think they should be releasing people like that at all. We reached out to both vien and his attorney but i have yet to hear back. Vien is scheduled to be back in court june 23. Members of a Southern California community are questioning the decision to release seven registered sex offenders to slow the spread of coronavirus. According to the Orange County da, all seven men were in jail on parole violations. They all allegedly tried to tamper with their electronic monitoring devices while free on parole. According to the da Orange County jail population has been reduced by nearly 45 since march 7. San francisco is expanding its shelter size for the homeless. It should be wrapped up i made third. Northbound 101 still completely shut down and you are being diverted onto 280. Traffic still light in around that area. Taking a look at another spot here along the 101, if you are working northbound we did have a Traffic Alert right around hellyer avenue. The good news is it has now been cleared out of lanes. We are seeing speeds much better in and around that area on 101 in the south bay for that Traffic Alert. If you want to take 85 to play it safe you still can. Things are still moving okay through there. Also i want to let you know there is a trouble spot eastbound 580 as you work your way right around foothith is k thrighlane. Traffic near the boulevard is still being affected there this morning. Is a heads up, you might see a few brake lights in and around that area because of this. Highway four westbound there are a few brake lights due to work roadwork around that 680 connector. Is sluggish because of that with the left lane block.
