With more on the crackdown, hey, wilson. Reporter well, look, ite ofa cruz get their beaches back. This is a new arrangement. It comes after the county opened the beaches up previously. This is a new arrangement that some people are simply not real happy with. You know, i miss the beach and i really feel that if people are acting, you know, within accordance of social distancing and staying far from each other, i dont see the point in staying off the beaches. Reporter on a perfect afternoon to be on the beach, you had better be getting in or out of the water. Even people who looked like they might be going swimming were stopped today. Yes, its difficult. I think because were trying to obey the orders in place and help flatten the curve, but at the same time its difficult when your Outdoor Access is, you know, indefinitely cut off. Reporter that seems to be the challenge for santa cruz managing crowds on days like today without delivering too much punishment for those who live right here. I and do believe that its mostly to keep people from out of town from coming over the hill and packing the beaches. Reporter all right, that keeps coming up with everyone we talk with here. The distinction between the locals who certainly want access to the beach which is right outside their door and the idea of people coming from out of the county kind of descended in here when the weather is like it is today. Obviously santa cruz trying to split the difference there, give people here some access to their Natural Resources without having crowds. As you can see, its causing a little consternation with the locals, on this all goes. We are live in santa cruz, wilson walker, kpix 5. Not much changes.
