But the loosened rules, Santa Clara County sees a rise in covid19 cases. Officials say in the last two weeks, almost 2000 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Among them, 116 hospitalized. After signaling that families would have a choice whether to do in person or online learning, the Santa Clara County School District is scaling those plans back. Now, all students are going to start the Upcoming School year with Distance Learning because of a spike in cases. Oakland unified plans to start up with four weeks of online learning, and then schools would introduce blended learning, which mixes in person and online.
