Were looking at mid 80s in San Francisco and low 90s in oakland and mid 90s in san jose and dealing with triple digit heat in concord. 103 for a high in concord and because of the extreme heat, still for inland locations, concord is opening up a cooling center at the Concord Senior Center from 1 00 until 6 00, to give some relief to people, so go out there if you need some safety from these hot temperatures. A flareup of the walbridge fire north of greenville caused some evacuations , urgent evacuations, in the middle of the night. They went out before 11 00 and people had to rush out of their homes because this is new video that was twisted out by the National Weather service. This is threatening areas north of the Russian River, northeast of greenville, and northwest of windsor and First Responders had been working through the night going door to door to make sure that people are out of their homes in that area. They might have moved it to the side streets. A vehicle flew off. As far as the freeway goes, it looks like it is not impacting 680 or 270. It is 5 17. There are high fire dangers. Because of this, those critical fire weather conditions and red flag warnings are in effect now until 8 00 wednesday for the north bay mountains, east bay hills, and Santa Cruz Mountains, all the areas highlighted in red due to those values. Also, when advisory is in effect for the north bay mountains until 11 00, with possible downed trees and power lines because of the strong winds. We are also dealing with that spare the air alert that remains in effect with hazy, smoky skies. We are a record 22 days in a row with a spare the air alert for the bay area with that unhealthy air quality. Were looking at that high fire danger. It is bringing snow to colorado and it is sweeping the a dry cold front our way. That is the reason why we are looking at that elevated extreme fire danger for the bay area. Tracking the winds, you can see those strong winds that will continue, especially in the Higher Elevations above 1000 feet, where we are watching all this and they will be strong today and into tomorrow morning.
