Yesterday we were in the 60s and today were in the 50s and not too much of a change. But antioch . 80s were in the forecast for us grow and thats what i said tall microclimates are seeing different thing with the system moving in. They got tow krewes son scene and hopefully get that out of the way sooner than later. In the meantime though you are going to see some brake lights there and that backup not quite to the toll plaza just yet. Since it is friday. And a get away friday. Reporter and for monica, whos the first peruvian to be crowned queen, she picks up her specially designed dress shipped from peru, she says she carries her new title with gratitude. Its a big responsibility. First, i hope i can make everyone proud. Reporter and the pride both monica and yeison share is in showcasing unique indigenous dances which is the theme of this years carnaval. We wanted to honor our our indigenous community. Including presenting a never before displayed dance at the festival. Never done this dance, this is the National Dance of peru. Its called marinara nortena. This dance is very traditional. Oh, good morning. We need that sun breaking through the clouds and were going to get a lot of that as we head into this afternoon. Mix of sun and clouds for us and heading into a beautiful but cool weekend. Right now theres a lot of may gray above me. This is our live cam overlooking the bay bridge from kpix here in San Francisco. As we head out the door today, oh, its going to be a lot cooler compared to the past couple of days and we kicked off this week with 80s down into the Santa Clara Valley. We have 60s today. Thats all the way in the east bay too. Yesterday we were in the 80s near antioch and concord and walnut creek and today once again 60s in the forecast and what is going on . We have 50s in San Francisco. 60s up in the north bay. We kicked off this weekend nice and warm but now its nice and cool for us as we head into the next couple of hours and throughout the next couple days actually. Heres the reason why. Lop is moving in from the north. What does that mean nor us . Cool, cloudy conditions with a chance of drizzle along the coast is expected for us today and tomorrow. It doesnt last long and moves to the east and suddenly were talking about sunny skies as we head into sunday. Still some clouds here and there. For example, San Francisco, but notice how temperatures are just a smidge warmer too. Daytime highs are going to warm up into the 50s and 60s. Heading into this weekends forecast. Near San Francisco. If you were thinking of heading over to bottle rock, well, were expecting the 70s and 60s all weekend long with sunnier skies as we head into our sunday forecast. Theres a lot going on for us here in the bay area as we head into this weekend. But by early next week, memorial day is looking really nice actually. We jump just about ten degrees in the positive direction. Upper 70s early next week and the raise return into the bay area too but thats our inland areas. Were not going to see inland not going to see coastal areas hit the 80s nestly. For now cloudy skies along the way all weekend long so if you are visiting in from out of town, and you notice you can see half the Golden Gate Bridge, but you cant see the whole thing, my apologies just give it a couple of hours and usually that marine layer kind of floats back and forth. Well have more on that in a bit. For now over to you, g. Jessica thank you. I have a live look at conditions as you go from highway 4 getting on the freeways there making that ride antioch pittsburg bay point. Not a lot of brake lights or issues which is great. Friday light for the most part. On some of the major freeways and bridges and a little crowded across the upper deck here at the bay bridge. Thats because there was a bit of a hotspot earlier on broken down vehicle there. Bay bridge toll plaza though you can see metering lights are officially on. And its starting to slow down just a little bit. But it is a friday. Right now things are pretty quiet and its later on today where you are really going to see things get busy. Because memorial day weekend is here so this is considered a get away friday. Our bay area bridges like the san mateo bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge, the bay bridge, will be very busy for people getting out of town and on those get away routes especially. Like 80 eastbound as well as 580 eastbound and you are taking 101 maybe over towards into marin or north of there or maybe you are taking that 101 drive over towards 152 down towards gilroy. So that certainly is going to see some extra busy conditions between 11 00 and 6 00 so try to travel before or later tonight. Right now though, things are loo
