No matter what COVID-19 health measures Quebec enacts, it can’t please everyone. Measures such as reimposing an earlier curfew might seem pointless when shopping malls and big-box stores are packed during the day with masked shoppers. The Legault government also hasn’t adequately addressed calls to improve ventilation in schools.
It bears repeating that last fall the Lester B. Pearson School Board purchased higher-quality filters for schools with mechanical ventilation systems and purifiers for classrooms in buildings that relied on natural ventilation (open windows and doors), while the province sat on its hands.
