Krispy Kreme Doughnuts making a comeback in Colorado Springs

Fifteen years after closing in Colorado Springs, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is on its way back. A shuttered Village Inn restaurant, northwest of Powers Boulevard and South Carefree Circle, would be razed and replaced with a newly construct Krispy Kreme outlet, according to a proposal submitted to city government planners.
