This is why we see them here in the parking lot is because technically the driver did leave the scene and then came back now preliminary investigations is telling us that the boss of bicycle this was on bryce. Road right over here and got hit from behind somewhere and this area here just south of this driveway. Now the as i mentioned the driver technically did leave the scene continue driving. But then came back and called the police about the collision when they showed up thats when they found the bicycle is a a 28 years old a fremont resident. He was dead and on the streets so the body is still here were still waiting for the Coroners Office to arrive. In the meantime investigators are out here trying to figure out the speed wi. This collided did did the driver go into the bike lane or did the bison bicycle is go outside the the bike lane and also whether drugs or alcohol played a role on this now. As if that was protocol but they did tell me that there was some indication. From other sources that that person might have had some the hall or drugs prior to getting into the car. So that is still under investigation as well as far as the driver, of this car. He is at the police station. And they Police Officers are telling me that he is cooperating and he was a person who call but he me encounter some charges against him because technically he did leave the scene and of what officers are telling me that when you get into an accident. You have to stop immediately because you could add minister at least called for a medical attention for that person in since the driver did drive away and then came back, he is technically in violation of that so that person might also face charges with that in the meantime the Investigation Continues and theyll have this piece of rice road. It comes out of the south bay where police are investigating the stabbing of a man while he was pumping gas at a station in campbell, the attack are still on the loose for us christine that hatred has the latest now from the scene. The police tape is all cleaned up here on scene officers, leaving just about an hour ago continuing their investigation in this suit actually see who that suspect or suspects that was or who they were now i want to go and take a look at the pump. Now 2 pumps behind me right now there with the van is parked and now thats where the suspect its pumping gas. It was then attacked and in fighting for his life. I want to show you some footage of what it looks like early this morning when officers were here on scene youre happened just around one 20 in the morning. Right here at the shell station off of highway 17 in hamilton in campbell. Now this is again what it looked like this morning you see on the ground blood stains and a t shirt. Campbell police tell us 2 men at the gas station in separate cars. Our sides and then apparently met inside of the store and got into some type of argument. The suspect chased the victim outside stabbed him multiple times and then left the victim was taken to the hospital and luckily is expected to be okay. I got to speak with the store manager as well as the employee was working when this all happened employed, pretty shaken up and not wanting to go on camera but he showed me the Security Camera footage of the incident, per Campbell Police as well show managements request. I cant release any of that footage or show you. We were able to talk with them about what happened and in the 50s footage, you can clearly see that the suspect is an adult male and he was with 2 other men. You then see the suspect along with the 2 other men running to the side of the gas station where the victim was parked. Ripping his shirt off and then stabbing him many times in the chest and stomach before then leaving and driving os and driving off into the distance. Now you see the victim with blood covering his torso screaming for help the employee inside of the shell station coming out and calling 911 helping him at that time the officers then arrived on scene to find the man who was suffering from all of those wounds and as we said hes luckily expected to be okay. Now this case is still very much under investigation here in the city of campbell Police Officers do say they have multiple leads on who that suspect was or who the possible suspects were. But theyre not able to release information on that at this time reporting live in Campbell Christina teatro. Thank u christina now to the east bay were Fremont Police are investigating a shooting between people into cars. The shooting happened last night near the intersection of stevenson boulevard and farwell drive. No one was hurt. Thankfully. The gunman though is still out there police are looking for that person this morning. In fremont are returning to school today and this year its going to be a little bit different as a the districts trying to deal with the overcrowded situation that they have at local Elementary Schools. Kron 4 Sarah Stinson joining us live with more on what theyre doing and i guess basically theyre just sort of shifting some of these Elementary School students to middle school correct. Of having a junior highs were to 7th and 8th graders its now going to be middle schools, 6 7th and 8th graders and im here at live at Walters Middle School you speak called ball to junior high and the first 6 graders ever to attend the school have now and to the classrooms and newly built classrooms for them. We have video of it they just built 3 New Buildings that hold 22 new classrooms, even have a new laboratory and some of the Old Buildings also got renovated now this is all an effort to ease some of the crowding thats at the. Elementary schools in the Fremont Unified School district. We caught up with the principal hes been the principal here for 10 years and he tells us hes in favor of this he thinks its going to be really good, not only for the Elementary Schools, but for the students who go here to the middle school because they can get more acclimated to their school. Its not like you go for 2 years and youre off to high school. 3 years give you a little bit more time to feel connected to that school get to know the faculty get to know the school itself and kind of get in that school spirit. And so hes excited for it in right now class is in session. I caught up with a mom and daughter who are walking to school. Before the bell rings. I rang and they told me that theyre mostly excited about this new transition. Kind of great because i feel. Im a little nervous because its a new building and im sure she hasnt seen im confident that know what theyre doing here and a milder one just finished grade. So shes excited. Project here walters costs a little over million and that was funded by measure the school bomb that was passed in 2014. The next school to transition to be a middle school will be foreigners and that will be completed by 2020 and then after that 3 more schools will be converted into middle school so well have to see how it all works out. The fact that they are going into you know middle school i did speak to one parent who told me that she is in not happy about it.
