You might remember they close down those beach parking lot. But that is not people from going the catalyst for nice of decision is large crowds gathering over the weekend and inter an orange county. Now its reported that nearly 800,000 people were out in Newport Beach over the weekend not a lot of people. Governor newsome saying that those large crowds for example on what we should not be done. About a 100 beaches and sort of easily defined 100 beaches. And there were 5 where we had some. The ticker johns overwhelming there were no major issues quite frankly, no issues of note. Particularly. La san diego parts of the bay area there are always a few exceptions here and there a local officials being extraordinary partners and those parts of the state. Now this announcement last detail in a memo sent to the California Police chiefs, the sun expected announcement comes as virus hospitalization to flatten and some local governments have started relaxing stay at home orders. So the beach year so again remember they close down those parking lot now theyre going to be closing down those beaches and again you can already see. Theyre putting Law Enforcement in place to let people know as they venture out to the beach. There are now more than 48,000 cases of coronavirus across the state more than 1900 people have died from it. Over 1000 of those deaths are in los angeles. Here in the bay area theyre almost 8,000 confirmed cases we have a breakdown of the cases and deaths county by county right on your screen. Santa clara county has the most cases at over 2100 and 107 people have died followed by Alameda County which has over 1500 cases and 57 people died. And 6 bay area counties are loosening their say at home orders for the first time. Santa Clara Alameda contra costa, san Mateo San Francisco and marin counties all of them ordered this brand new order that will remain in fact the in effect until the end of may and beginning on monday the counties will allow all construction. Also opening some other businesses Outdoor Activities such as such as golf and tennis as well and landscaping in childcare and summer camp settings will also be allowed in groups of 12 or less. In addition to that they also re ease restrictions and a set of indicators have been provided which will guide the bay area and the future easing of restrictions there on your screen and some of them include whether the current number of cases is flat or decreasing whether hospitalizations are flat or decreasing whether or not theres adequate supply of personal protective equipment for healthcare workers and whether were meeting the need for testing and contact tracing. County officials want to make sure the public knows that these ease restrictions do not cancel out the state shelter in place order and guidelines. We must all abide by both the local Council Orders and the state health orders. That means which ever does stricter controls. In some cases thats the local water but in other cases that is the state over. And the state order does continue to impose limitations on certain activities that the new order might otherwise allow. So the officials are urging everyone to guard against a false sense of security which could lead to a backward slide. Theyre also encouraging people to continue the considerable progress on those indicators by continuing to work from home and keep that physical distancing. Well. The house will get slightly easier with ease loosen restrictions. This is how open houses have been happening in the bay area this one took place on sunday in San Francisco by way of zone. But the new shelter in place order taking effect on monday creates some wiggle room for buyers to get a firsthand look inside the houses that are on the market.
