And while california is coronavirus death toll stands at just under 5,000. Pro tracking infections predicts that number could hit 6,000 by july first and more than 8,000 deaths could be seen by september. Researchers behind the model predicts similar trend for the nation. Despite the number of hospitalizations going up the increase in the absolute number of patients in hospitals is low considering the amount of people who live in Santa Clara County.
