The big story this morning Elementary School students in San Francisco or step closer to heading back into the classroom now the San FranciscoDepartment Public health is inspecting schools to ensure that they meet both state and county standards with kron 4 Sarah Stinson following the story for us live from the city good morning sara. Good good news on the school front for those who are eager to get back in the classroom. The Health Department says that in San Francisco, the first round of school or worst first round of schools will be back in the classroom within just the next 2 weeks. Thats really big and what theyre doing now is take a look at your screen theyve been inspecting the schools making sure that the plans that they have proved are actually being done in implemented, you can see the literally measuring the distance between each death something that really needs to be done making sure that the students can keep their distance from one another each desk has its own supplies. Theres the kids dont have to share. They have a lot of work that has to be done they have to put signs up for minding children to wash their hands keep their distance. I mean theres a lot of work that you have to do to implement these things because children need constant reminders of this classrooms have to meet standards set by the state and the county schools that will reopen first for in person classes created an indepth safety plan they submitted it theyre were implication to the countys Health Department and the Health Department reviewed and approved it or they gave them comments and feedback and then they had to resubmit know a lot of the schools did get a past and thats why they had to go make sure that everything they said they were going to do is actually being done now San Francisco did enter the red tier 2 in the states color tiered system for this whole reopening process for schools and the now can open k through 12 if we remain in this tier for 2 weeks, however, the county Health Department here still saying okay still need to submit a lot of to us we still need to make sure that everything is good to go before those kids get into the classroom thats going to be a big time for this area for San Francisco. But its first you know the soft to fly and also theyre going to Distance Learning until they get into that classroom, something well continue to follow. Here in San Francisco for now ill send it back to you in the newsroom. Ok thank you very much sara. And in the north bay Health Officials are dealing with a covid outbreak at several daycares.
