I think we can all agree the 49 ers have a much needed week off they are banged up they have lost 3 straight. And they now have a player on the covid19 list, so of occasion from football is definitely what the doctor ordered, but when they come back from that vacation and even way beyond that will Jimmy Garoppolo still be the man for the job. Jimmy has been hampered all season by a high ankle sprain the expected timetable for his recovery was about 6 weeks from november, second which would allow him to return a couple games before the end of the season, but there is a growing concern within the fan base. I should emphasize many wonder if hes the longterm answer at quarterback between injury concerns and his up and down play. I dont think those concerns are entirely crazy but theres no doubt that the niners tend to win one jimmy is under center there 24 9 with drop below as the starting quarterback since he arrived to the bay in 2017 and theyre just 5. 23 in games that he does not play and Kyle Shanahan seems to be well aware of that he gave his vote of confidence today. I expect to be our starting next year expect him to come play with us this year. You know we have 6 games left were not out of the you know it. You know that he knows 3, 6, going into a bye week said up when their division one a lot of games for sheriffs a lot harder to win games. We here so we can get him back. Still a lot of season left all right to the hardwood ball is life nba draft is tomorrow the warriors. Theyll be making the second pick. I want to introduce you to 4 of the guys that they could be drafting number one is James Wiseman weve talked about him before hes your typical new age big man as you can see flies up and down the court super athletic runs the floor like a deer and he can protect the rim. He would start immediately after 5 for the warriors which is a position of need for golden state. Next is lamelo ball hes probably the most highprofile guy in this years draft. His older brother lonzo hes already in the nba and his dad lavar has made headlines for his unique approach to managing his sons careers just go look at what he said about his son in watching out for the women that he might attract in the nba, but behind all the buzz is some serious talent sussex a point guard right there. His unique playmaking skills in that doesnt grow on trees and hes just that all right next we have a combo guard. Anthony edwards at a georgia this kid can score at all 3 levels, hes built similarly to Donovan Mitchell kind of on the side but stout can get to the rim. The dubs have a couple wings already that Position Group is kind of crowded, but hey if edwards is the choice they will have to find a way to make some room for him hes that talented and finally we have the top ranked overseas prospect of the draft. Danny abia he is from israel and thats where he played last year 6, 9, small forward with great skill for a guy of that size his jumper is still a work in progress will have full coverage of the draft tomorrow and hear from bob myers and hopefully whoever to does decide to draft. Stanfords head coach is not holding back his feelings about the covid testing debacle that forces starting quarterback to sit out a week just hours before the teams Season Opener against oregon. Davis mills and 3 others were ruled out due to coronavirus policy. The pac 12 later revealed that an error in the testing protocols lead to one players test coming back is inconclusive on friday it was determined that none of the 3 had ever had covid in they were able to return to practice just one day before taking all colorado a game stanford lost by just 3 points. So no starting quarterback, even though hed never even had covid i can tell you david shaw was not too happy about that. I was too busy trying to get catching surprised in anxious and. Then from sunday. West of surprising list and just a little bit more anger. But theres nothing we can do about happened. Austin austin those those 4 guys. The game and cost which practice. It doesnt make it an easier pill to swallow but we have to realize this is probably something thats going to happen again to another team is just the reality of the worl i welcome back to a live look at the lake tahoe area where most of the slopes will be open. Next weekend check out the time lapse video from one of camera of it is just idyllic it snowed a few times now up there and its been cold enough that theyve been able to make snow at the resorts to do that so theyre ready to roll tahoe is so beautiful. You know, lots of tahoe area resorts are getting set to kick off the ski season. For skiers and snowboarders and then also in Southern California Lauren Lyster is it snow valley and San Bernardino where they kicked off their ski season this morning. Enjoying the slopes and the sun on opening day, its snow valley first day out was gonna come for skiers and snowboarders now able to enjoy several runs a 12 to 24 inch face of snow and temperatures in the 60s. I live in all not like this is a day that i almost go to the beach and relax but im in the mountain skiing or just fun. What brought people out on opening day most doing my dad he decide to get a season pass. I mean he loves skiing in serbia and this is this is my second time so trying to use of the courses in some bondi a recent winter storm allowed the resort to open sooner this year than usual is a little early aimed open by thanksgiving and being open about 10 days before thanksgiving is certainly welcome thing right now weve got 18 to 20 inches of snow this past week ago this past weekend. And we made snow quite a bit of it and thats a lot of you here today and it is of course the first year opening during a pandemic thats a little different as i tell people the snow is still fine like usually is but some operational changes that happened are asking folks to wear a mask or asking for social distancing things are used to it are going on in society every day. Dining as all outdoors those we spoke to didnt seem to mind and what they think about the conditions. Now as the snow its pretty good. Not a little bit its not that. A little slushy at this fire still a whole lot of fun. At snow valley resort. Im Lauren Lyster. I want to time certainly get a lot of snow up there tonight, maybe a couple of feet across some of the higher piece of course tough go getting up there. Winter storm warnings are up until 6 oclock in the evening. In the western slope of the sierra as we head toward tomorrow. Other right now weve still got some more showers moving in. We have the rain moving in throughout the day that was more steady rain hour. Just on and off showers as weve seen the made cold front go by and you see it saying to the south now in the monterey bay, but behind that here you go youve got some more rain that its beginning to move in another round of showers developing now across parts of San Francisco and bring you can see its stretching across now in that area certainly going to see that rain coming down throughout the next couple of hours or so and then things begin to settle down so that being said were going to see some changes coming our way it looks like the next couple days everything comes to an end looks like the rain tapered off looks like a nice dry weekend ahead, and for now looks like a dry thanksgiving guys back to you.
