The first one happened yesterday around 2. 30, Martin Luther king junior regional shoreline boat launch right near the oakland airport. Officers say they found a man dead with a gunshot wound. There. And just 10 minutes later, police founa a man shot and killed near the lake mayor bart station. Bart police say the use Video Surveillance to help try pinpoint a suspect. It took a man into custody within about 2 hours of that shooting. People use. Barr told us they are really concerned to see Something Like this happen. Such a busy station in the middle of the day. Very, very challenging to, you know, see this happening within our community. Well, bart police say theres no indication that the suspect or victims were bart riders. They believe they just happen to be near the bart station. 100 firefighters fought to put out a fire burning at an apartment complex in San Franciscos inner sunset. All happened last night. He says the fire spread to a Hardware Store that was behind the complex as well as a shed right behind that store. Baxter says no one was injured, but an unknown amount of people were displaced. But were being told no progress was made. Now this all comes as a threeday strike is set to Begin Next Week city workers are demanding a pay raise to 7 . But the city is only offering up to 5. Well in the north, maybe Santa Rosa CityCouncil Unanimously voted to make changes to their no camping law for people who live on the streets. In addition to laying out specific restrictions for where people can set up their tents in a public space. The newly updated ordinance now be ce federal law. That is by making sure their shelter available for a person before they are actually told to leave. Santa rosa will prohibit encampments in city parks anywhere that blocks pedestrian access, fire lanes are near transit hubs or bus shelters within 100 feet of a school. It also makes it illegal for people to set up tents bigger than 10 by 10 feet and within 4 feet of another person in a tent. Now they can have unpermitted electrical connections. No dumping of gray or black water. Also the homeless. They wont be able to have Flammable Liquids or toss out hypodermic needles. They also ban anything that is going to disrupt wildlife or damage public property. Now, as for cooking, it will have to be done in city facilities. Youve got some Council Members that raised concerns that the law focuses on what people can do instead of where they can go to live peacefully. So that suggests that they might later visit the idea of a sanction space for encampments with in santa rosa. Although thats not clear just yet. Its getting more and more expensive to live in its getting district is offered 4 raise this year and a 4 increase next year. The union says that doesnt even come close covering the cost of living increases. Teachers are having to deal with. We reached out to the sausalito more in School District comment. But we have not heard back just yet. On the peninsula. Authorities in san carlos are investigating after a home depot Security Guard shot a suspected shoplifter. All happened monday night around 10 the store county road. The Sheriffs Office says the guard confronted the suspect. Jonathan mackey and a fight broke out. Thats when Officials Say mackey grabbed the guards time and began hitting him in the face in the head with it. 4th on the baton to a glass door. The Security Guard then shot mackey. There was a a deputy close proximity who heard the shots responded called for additional units. The deputy quickly detained. The suspect provided first aid for the gunshot wound until medics arrived on scene. Bart will be installing new gates later this year aimed to cut down on fare evasion. Bart announced this week the Transit Agency was water that contract for almost 800 new fare gate.
