Kron fours wallace spoke with the lawmaker about his new dui proposal. Drinking and driving really inexcusable, especially for an elected official. Thats the message republican assemblymember billa say lee hopes to sent to fellow lawmakers with his proposal. Hr 51 should go into effect. Any member of the assembly who is arrested and charged with dui loose, a privilege to operate whats known as a pool vehicle. A government perk provided to lawmakers to help them easily get from place to place in sacramento. Most people dont even know we get a taxpayer funded car. Its a state vehicle. The state pays the tax. The state pays the gas for the car take care of it. And i think thats a privilege. And so when you violate that privilege and you violate the trust of the public. You shouldnt be driving your car. So its a very simple measure. The rule would apply to lawmakers until their cases result. But if a member is found guilty of deal, why hr 51 would prohibit that lawmaker from driving the pool called for a minimum of 3 it comes just months after state senator dave min was arrested for dui last week. He was sentenced to 3 years, informal probation. And while he did not comment after that sentencing during the night of the arrest back in may, men stated, quote, i accept full responsibility and there is no excuse for my actions. The proposal would apply to all
Assembly Members on both sides of the aisle and to those convicted of deal, why wouldnt they were still candidates last month . Clarissa serve on herself. A

A number of elected officials. And candidates for office who are im being arrested for dui across the state and its highly irresponsible. I think what when you run for elected office are held to a higher standard in this state where 4 people died in dui related crashes every day. Mothers against drunk driving or madd fully supports the proposal driving while impaired by alcohol. But and ordered is a choice and we must hold accountable every person who makes that choice. And its now up to the

I want to sit there watching, but i work at a later today on this labor day. But a not a bad day around the bay area. Weather wise, we watch those clouds. Clear out a bit. Still some patchy fog trying to reform tonight. Well see more of that throughout the night. And even likely a little patchy drizzle out along the immediate coastline. Other parts, the bay area. Now the clouds, the rolling a little bit later on. Its going to be rather patching a real strong, a fog bank out there. But still kept temperatures down just a bit. 67 degrees a little bit below the average in
San Francisco today, 70 in oakland, 79 degrees. A nice day in san jose. Beautiful 83 and warm in lemore in concord in 84 degrees. One of the warmer spots in santa rosa out the door right now. Weve got some low clouds and fog are to begin to march back on shore. Likely going to see some patchy drizzle out toward the beaches tomorrow morning. Clouds giving way to some clearing into the afternoon. Probably going to see some patchy fog linger up toward the beaches. But overall, a building ridge of
High Pressure. I think as go through the week now, as were going to see those temperatures warming up by this next weekend, hate back in the upper 80s. Maybe couple low 90s. So nice weather ahead. Looks like a pretty nice pattern setting itself we do have that patchy fog out there. But were getting late in the season now. And so youre not seeing those 2 fog major, see more broken clouds around the bay area. Got 60 degrees right now in sonoma. 64 degrees. Mostly clear and blatant 61 right now in dublin, the sea breeze. Yeah. Been picking up pretty strong this afternoon. We have some gusts over 30 miles an hour in the
San Francisco. It has backed off just a little bit now, but still overall, that sea breeze going to carry that fog back on shore. Kind of interesting pattern. You know, we talked about the storms through a nevada causing some issues there, trough of low pressure, kind of sitting along the west coast thats allowed. The system is the kind of roll through. Were going to see one more kind of roll over top of that ridge out the pacific. And that will keep temperatures down for at least another day. But after that, boy, its really going to start to warm up and back tomorrow, the temperatures probably cooling temperatures go mainly in the 60s. But over the next couple days,
High Pressure starts to build in. Here we go. We watch those temperatures marching up by late the weekend about that. Some 90s popping up on sunday into monday. No major heat wave on the horizon. Thats a good news. So were not going revisit those triple digit temperatures, but its going feel like summer again in the next week. Very interesting. When can we expect things to start feeling like fall . Well, thats the other thing. Yeah, were going to watch these temperatures cooling down. I think the following weekend, maybe a little taste of fall coming our way. Okay. Thats quite a tease. Thank you, lawrence. All right. You could say that this
