Were taking a live look now here at San Francisco city hall. Her casket there with the flag over it arrived there earlier this morning, people been paying their respects throughout the day and can do so until later on tonight. A long line of people there coming in to say a final goodbye to the late senator for us Charles Clifford live for us now outside of San Francisco city hall. He has the latest. Thanks for joining us. Good afternoon. Right now, im in Civic Center Plaza outside San Francisco city hall. The senators casket arrived here around 8. 30 this morning. Lets going take a look at some video from inside place. Her casket under the rotunda. This is also just underneath the balcony outside the mayors office. As you mentioned, people are being allowed in the front doors off of venice. They have to go through security. Stand in line. But everyone is being given a chance to spend a few moments in front of the casket pay their respectseand then in the south like court, just off to the side there, some books, a memorial book so people can sign to send messages to the family. Now, the viewing here is very appropriate. Senator feinstein started her political here in the 1960. She served as mayor for 10 years into the 1980s today, we talked to several people outside city hall who say they felt compelled to come down here and pay their respects. Felt that i had and everything she ever motivated was best for the best for citizens and what more could you, martin, that . Never be ourselves . All to say that she loves and so fitting that shes white state. Cant imagine or anywhere else. All right. The Kaiser Permanente workers holding to their promise of a threeday strike if no agreement was reached, hundreds gathering right outside of the Kaiser Permanente hospital here walnut creek. One of 14 Kaiser Permanente. Hospitals in the bay area. Got to hear us. As the Largest Health care workers striking u. S. , history plays out around 60,000 Kaiser Permanente. Workers here in california took to the streets to strike many telling kron 4 they were locked out of the building wednesday morning because hasnt been listening to assist frontline healthcare we are partners in the situation and were telling them that theres a health care and we want them to come back and bargain in good faith. But nationwide, there are around 75,000 workers who are on strike in multiple states, including colorado, washington, oregon, maryland, virginia and washington protesting what they say is unfair labor practices and unsafe staffing levels. Those on strike chanting kaiser shame on you saying that the company is working in bad faith. I want to say come back to the table, cargo in good faith and listen to us on the solutions we for the Health Care Staff having this type says it is it is really hurting our patients and members some of the jobs being affected by the strike range from nurses, Emergency Department technicians, surgical technicians and home in healthcare eights. In a statement from Kaiser Permanente, they say both Kaiser Permanente management in Coalition Union representatives are still at the bargaining table. Having worked through the night in an effort to reach an agreement. There has been a lot of progress with agreements reached on several specific proposals late tuesday. And this is threeday strike. Were taking a live look outside here. The city of San Francisco. It is a warm wednesday. A heat advisory has been issued starting tomorrow at 11 oclock. It goes until 11 at night on friday. Well get the latest now from our meteorologist kyla grogan. It is warm out there. It is warm out there. But this is just the beginning of the heat. Thats going to be coming our way. And you mentioned it. So well get into in show you where this heat advisory is going to be. It is certainly all around the bay front. So you can see all of that area in this heat advisory. It is also San Francisco. It is a good portion of the south bay into the Santa Cruz Mountains into the east bay as well where it is not is right along the coastline, which will be certainly a little bit cooler, but still very warm. Again. This does kick in at 11 00am on thursday and goes until 11 00pm on friday because we are going to see some of these temperatures get into the mid 90s, even potentially a few spots that could see tripledigit heat. I think that will be rare. But it is a possibility. Meanwhile, were just dealing with blue skies all the way from San Francisco to Half Moon Bay to the east bay hills to san jose, the golden gate bridge. Everybody looking good. This is the difference in temperatures between 24 hours ago and now. So if youre in napa, it is 17 degrees warmer. And as i mentioned, this is just the beginning of this warmup temperatures right now. The highest was on the map right now. Santa rosa, napa about 92 or 19 san jose. But notice Half Moon Bay at 73 degrees. San francisco downtown right now coming in at 82. These are numbers we dont see very often. Its that summer in San Francisco, kind of a feeling only, of course, it happens in october. We get a little offshore wind High Pressure here, low pressure in the interior etarts to drive little that wind offshore. As that High Pressure builds, we also get kind of the sunny skies in the clear more compressed layer in clear skies out there. Well go to the east bay now where 2 people have been arrested in connection to a drowning of a 2 yearold boy in rodeo. Kron 4 sukyeol spoke with neighbors who fear that the child may have been abused. Its me. You know, like innocent boy on monday night, the Contra Costa County office of the sheriff says deputies responded to a call reporting the boy drowned in a bathtub. All of the people we spoke with for this story preferred not to share their name or face on camera they said, the boy is. Lie. The revived in the boy and the rest of the half. With all the boy was eventually pronounced dead at a hospital. And later, 2 people were arrested in connection with the childs death. The 23 yearold was shot 16 times after he allegedly stole a car and crashed it into 2 patrol cars in san leandro. So god pregnant. Girlfriend was also in the car at the time of the incident. She was injured and her unborn child did not survive in april of last year. A report from then Alameda County District Attorney Nancy Omalley found that the officers were justified in using deadly force and did not face any charges. Deputies were called to or a report of a dead body in the unincorporated area of rohnert park. The woman was later identified as noel russo. And it was determined that she had been beaten to death over the years, detectives submitted several items for evidence for dna matches. And Alfredo Contreras junior was identified as a suspect via back dna just this week, detectives arrested him. Hes now being held for murder. And being held without bail.
