The owner at home asleep receives a security alarm alert and calls 911 elsa Rio Police Department officers arriving on scene, find the truck and its 2 occupants fleeing the area they pursue along westbound 80 until the truck changes direction starts driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of 5. 80, near the bay bridge. Moments later, the truck smashes into 2 other vehicles, a white utility van and a gray bmw. According to the california highway patrol, the 2 occupants of the truck and the driver of the van all suffered major injuries. The driver of the bmw died at the scene back at the tobacco shop. The front of the building is smashed in. The owner says this is the 6th time they have been robbed in recent years. He believes the suspects stole cigarettes. A large box of which was found at the crash scene. Its contents spread across the roadway. He also estimates that the storm might be a total loss. Hes not sure if theyll be able to reopen. This could be about damage. So. You know, if we fix that as of midday tuesday, the identities of the suspects and the victims. Have not been made public as of tuesday afternoon. Weve learned some new details about a shooting in the parking lot of a Pleasant Hill condo complex has now turned fatal. 2 men were shot around noon at this complex and twin bridge circle just west of highway 6 ad. Transit officials are looking to install some of them in places like school zones and areas where there have sideshows, the San Francisco bicycle collision hopes that this will reduce speeds for drivers and also improve infrastructure. Happening today, the city of oakland is going to vote on whether the city could use license plate readers to catch people illegally dumping items onto city streets if passed, this ordinance will allow the city to catch and prosecute dumpers. The cameras would be installed in public hot spots where theres chronic dumping. The cameras would only be placed in areas like light poles, bus stops and street light poles. San francisco supervisor Rafael Mandelman answering that question tuesday. The city announcing a plan to roll out a Pilot Program for publicly accessible curbside charging stations by 2025. The driving forces behind this initiative has been the feedback and concerns raised by district 8 residents and folks from across the city. Weve heard from many of you who live in multiunit apartment without access to garages or offstreet chargers. There will be 3 main components before this Pilot Program starts. The first will be a citywide assessment which will evaluate installation operation and maintenance of public charging stations at the curve at specific locations. The second will be working with experts to assess neighborhoods that are most suitable. And 3rd hearing from neighborhood groups mandelman says theyll be looking at other larger cities like new york and los angeles who already have a Robust Program in place. Francisco is committed to achieving netzero Greenhouse Gas emissions. By 2040, and has set an interim goal that 25 of all registered high the vehicles to be electric by 2030, to meet. Goes vital that the city expand access to affordable and convenient charging options. That means expanding are charging network with home workplace and public charging. This initiative is part of the citys effort to meet the growing demand. Their plan is to eventually install more than 5,000 public chargers by twentythirty around the city with the ultimate goal of having these chargers in multiple neighborhoods across San Francisco. It also means making sure that for the people who still need to drive that they have an option to switch to electric vehicle, whether or not they have their own now, the supervisor also goes on to tell us that they hope to get that evaluation back by june.
