Were checking things out of Half Moon Bay and theyre your fog clouds. Hang around a little bit here that will mix out. But we still have that chilly breeze and temperatures not to elevated this afternoon. Still going to be the cool side. So definitely dress up with the sweater in the jackets and all that 50s for the east bay up north. Weve got the lower 50s at work to 55 san jose. Not about start russia little warmer than we were from yesterday. Even with are clear skies and not much to deter that either in up in the mountains, not seeing much cloud build up either. Now overnight, the marine layer gets thicken up a little bit. Yeah, but well do the same thing. Mix out forra Sunny Afternoon will still probably be in the 70s for monday and even into tuesday. Its not a wednesday. Well start seeing some warming and more decoupling happening with those inland spots. Warming up a little bit more. So back to those winds. As i referenced nice, strong onshore wind taking that pathway of the least resistance from the golden gate off for work in a straight thats will be the most apparent little bit Solano County to you can see the uptick, but particularly along the coast. And thats this afternoon. And it looks like it lingers all overnight, even through monday, too. So that will keep some of this fog clouds around a little bit. But more importantly will give that chill that cool feel because remember, even though were warming up in london, all the other elements are trying to do so the ocean is behind it. Still sitting in late winter here takes a time as water always does a specific heat and all that kind of business. So it takes a little while to catch up mostly sunny mild, a cool breeze, 70 ish for the bay. Weve got mid 70s already happening inland. So little the couple in here then for the early part of the week, were warming to about 8 or so mid week. Enjoy it, sunny and nice for you. And then toward the latter portion of the week, it does break down. We have another frontal kind of system kind of threatening a little bit, but it looks like its going to remain dry. So well get some cloud cover reduction of temperatures. But that looks to be about it. Maybe the following week might get some rain in here. 64 San Francisco, 69 oakland about a 72 san jose3 we got some mid 70s going on in london, the east bay and up to the north bay as well. But look at the contrast, really chilly along the peninsula here and even long the coast. So just keep that in mind for today. And start to go this way. Just dont mind me. Just look at the map and then you see mid 70s going on the east bay, 70. All right, dave, thanks so much. Well, april is stress Awareness Month. And if youre feeling the pressure, you are certainly not alone. Global conflict, inflation and climaterelated disasters are just some of the stressors weighing on. Many of us the American Psychological Association Found 3 in 5 surveyed adults. Dont talk about stress because they dont want to burden others. And a 3rd of surveyed adults said they have too much stress in their daytoday lives to even think about the future. Joining us live now to talk us and talk about all of this. An office of guidance is nicole ybarra, kaiser permanente, director of Mental Health. The morning to you, nicole. Good morning, stephanie. Thank you so much for having me today of course. And its so good to see you again of the cold just to start off here walk us through the impact that stress can have in our bodies and our lives. Absolutely. So everybody is prone to having stress at one point or another. I think its really important for us right by the source of our stress, right . Is it racial . I stress . Is that financially related . Is that related to our educational pressures are to our health. Whats really important to know that all has backed prolonged. Exposure distressed can result in some bizarre call. Challenges for our body. Im high blood pressure, for risk for Substance Use disorder recent smoking drinking. Im Healthy Eating habits, poor sleep. Im all of this can contribute to an increased risk for heart attack or stroke. So its really important that we attention to the stress and our bodies and how it shows that before it gets to that point. Yeah, absolutely. And selfawareness, of course, around this topic is so what are easy ways that you recommend that people . Can approach people and content that theyre exposed to on a daily basis that can trigger stress. I think checking in with our loved ones really asking people not just are you doing today, but really how are you doing today . You know, opening up space for people to really talk about whats on their mind, whats going on in their personal lives. And then also just checking in to ourselves. Are we taking care of ourselves . Are we getting some exercise . Are we getting enough sleep . Are we checking in with our own, you know, support systems, our friends and our family, our loved ones. Are we eating, you know, helping good foods that share. Bodies are reconnecting with our all these things can really help and make an impact because, again, stress is inevitable, but we can control how were reacting to stress before it gets to the point of really having some very Serious Health risks and its interesting to how the concept of stress. Has really evolved over the years. I think at the very beginning back when humans were kind evolving as a species, stress was considered a survival mechanism. But now because we are almost inundated with all these different Information Sources in content out there, stress levels seem to be elevated a pretty high level of it. Is that something that youre seeing personally . And were seeing it from so many different angles. You know, rarely do. We just have source of stress. Oftentimes its an entire collection. And so i think its really important for us to notice, you know, in our own lives. What is it that we can control and what it that we cannot control . But you also bring up really good point, which, you know, some mild, maybe to moderate cancer productive use, right . So, you know, if were going into a Job Interview that were really nervous about, we have that stress. But that could also lead to ask, you know, performing well and being successful are passing that exam. So, you know, any kind of stressed is going to impact our lives. But we just really want to check in with our own body and mind. See how its impacting us. And what is it that we need in order to feel safe in order to feel regulated. You also mention how diet can help address stress levels. Are there . Specific items that we should be thinking about when we go to the Grocery Store next. Absolutely. I think its really important to have a balanced diet, making sure that we have enough protein. We have enough fruits and veggies, making sure that we hydrates. You know, theres all those, you know, your diet is going on right now. Sometimes that can really deprive our body of certain nutrients. So really making sure that we have a balanced diet. Going to the Grocery Store. In the cold. We also would like to ask you this, which is, you know, whats the best way people can identify triggers an unhealthy ways that we might be coping with stress and then replace them with healthier practices. Yeah, i think just, you know, am i right drinking a little bit more than the normal and my way camp in the morning and feeling not my best. My feeling like, you know, i want to stand bad rather you know, bracing the day that israeli checking and what is shifting from me right now. Im you know, maybe one moment kind of easier to reach for something thats going on last year. Lets check out. But is that really going eliminate the stress rate . And also like you said, no to staying kind of whats triggering it are, you know, is my stress taking me into a place of have a fight or flight isnt making shutdown is a leading to potential symptoms of anxiety and depression and also just talking to somebody and you can absolutely reach out call coach called their get plugged into Mental Health. Have an assessment if youre really interested to see how is this impacting me . And just to wrap things up here to on say that somebody is just there, theyre sitting. Maybe theyre at work, for example, and, you know, theyre just feeling theyre hit with a wave of it. Is there. A quick and easy sort of exercise that they can go through ease themselves out of that stressful situation. I love mindfulness practices, deep breathing, grounding yourself. Kind of back into the earth. A lot of the are triggered are having a stress response. We find ourselves kind checking out of the present moment. So find some kind of exercise that crowns you back to the present moment. That could be just, you know, painting your feet on that more friendly and kind of feeling your tolerance against the floor. Could be just taking nice, deep quality breaths and reminding yourself that you are safe, that you are present and then just, you know, resting your shoulders, doing some stretching, just things to kind of bring you back into the present moment, i think can be really helpful a moment when youre feeling overwhelmed. Yeah, in our last 30 seconds era and mentioned that the at the top of this interview, you know, there is so much going on in the world right now. You have Global Global conflicts. People who are struggling financially because of inflation. A number of just daytoday stressors. Whats the message . This stress Awareness Month for folks who are feeling a lot of that pressure. I think the message is that it is really hard to take care of ourselves right now with everything going on. So my suggestions theyre not easy ones. I think the really important ones. So i think its just really important for us to validate our own feelings are on the motions, our own processes. Whats going on is extremely heavy. Theres so many pressures coming out us from so many different angles. So just know that youre alone. No, thats okay to reach out when youre feeling overwhelmed, whether that is to a professional, whether that is to your support system and is okay to reach out. And it is important because youre important. All right. Great way to end. And Nicole Ibarra kaiser permanente. Director of Mental Health. Great to see you. And thank you so much for your work. Thank you so much. Appreciate you having me. Well be right back. Teens have drama. One more minute braces add more drama. Here to tell us more about of the stars of the upcoming show. Miss tucker, an aga angelo greco and daniel divison oliveira. Good morning to all of you. Good morning. A starstudded cast. This is incredible. So, you know, first of all, tell us a bit about. How it feels to all be starring in this incredible show together. Well, it does feel amazing. Weve been the reaction for 4 weeks. Yeah. So its going to be for show special. Yeah, for about a month. Is that the typical amount of time to rehearse for a show like this would say much less much less time. Okay. So this is really going to be doubly special cause. Youre getting a bit more as extra so whats the dynamic been between the 3 of you . What actually, first of all, tell us a bit about the rules that youre playing. I play 2 opposite in all the white swan, yes, on deal. The bucks one. Okay. A plane to bring 6th grade. Okay. To feel like a brings hills. Good to do it, ok . And then about for you . I play the bad im kind of the storyteller of the whole thing. Help everything starts at harbor thing ends me basically. Making everything happen. Make everything great ruining everything as haha. So its its really interesting. You really play these very multidimensional characters in this beautiful ballet. So how do you tap . What would you find the inspiration . What do you tap into its really kind of bring out that authenticity and be able to play that character on stage . Basically, you know, like we got to be true to the character we have we coach teaches us about technical and aspects of the so you try to stay true as much as possible to it. And, you know, just some. Basically a part of being professional general. So when youre playing the villain, is there like mindset that you have when you get up on stage jobs . So the yeah, i tried to get into character as much as possible according to because im not the throughout the whole ballot. So i have different types of behavior as the first act as a second act. Of course, the 3rd and 4th like i got be able to balance things out instead of just being mean and angry throughout right is exhausting. Me say you put whats interesting about your role as you play. 2 opposites. Yeah. You have somebody whos very pure and innocent and light and somebody who is very seductive and with dramatic. So whats the mindset that you i feel like i have to size jump in. So i think its easy to tap into that emotion and go through. Things in life and we can just, you know, feel it . Yes, the moment. Yes. What was it . Has it been like between you and angelo just playing, you know that the prince, you have the beautiful debt as well. How do you develop chemistry and that authentic connection between the 2 of you. When youre on stage full u. S. Week. Had this chemistry instantly. So its easier for us to just be in the studio. On stage having that kind of atmosphere that. We definitely had a discussion which is no. But important thing is that you trust that button and they did that some ways. Yes, it was funny because when we met, he need to for the first time 6 ago. Wow, i actually dropping stage. And good news. Said 1000 time. Sorry, im so excited. And she knew that we were going to put on that this pilot is actually very special for us. Which will be i last time dancing together, getting some francisco. So i think hes going hes that emotional and its a perfect love. Love story. Yeah, absolutely. And you are also celebrating a birthday. Of the exactly. Bring in 6th grade birthday by day and im actually celebrating my own, but they say is going and would love to get your thoughts in our last about 90 seconds here. But, you know, theres so many people who are watching this right now, of course, for those who aspire for a career in the any advice that you like to offer because it can be so competitive and challenging. Sometimes. Believe its a high form. The turning to love they are so many sacrifices that you will have to make a new life, especially. At the beginning of it. Its you have to leave your family a very young that for me was very high. I mean, it is a very beautiful i4 the moment that you go on stage in. You can express yourself. A special, but you cannot forget about all the work that there is behind. So you need to approached art form with the mind said. Well take you to grow as a person before that as an act. So you need to work work, work, work less than a key. All right. And persistence is well anything else youd like to add to that either. One of you know, i think i take in his words, the originally from brazil. So i left very early for young age, my family and everyone. Anyone who wants to pursue anything professionally. Youve got to know that everythings not going to be always beautiful, right . Theres a lot of work. Theres a lot of pain if you are passionate enough to to do it so you should go for it. But just be prepared that its not always going to be perfect and wonderful. And lisa, just to wrap things up here. When can people watch your upcoming show . A second thursday 07 30pm, and and may 5th sunday, 02 00pm. Okay. Fantastic. And tickets are people can off the website. Yes. Absolutely. Okay. Once upon a sfl is a or a fantastic. Our capitol correspondent Eytan Wallace takes a closer look. Indeed, its been mixed reaction here at the State Capitol upon learning this bill will not advance clerk will open the road. Were looking at one of the most public parts of the legislative process, a formal vote on the bill are 32 knows find the merger process. But what the public does not always bill is crafted in negotiated behind the scenes when the public. A look at the laws being made. They deserve transparency. Thats why bakersfield gop Assembly Member vince fong says he introduced assembly bill. 26 54. It would ban the use of nondisclosure agreements or nbas in the legislative process. In a nutshell in nba is an agreement between at least 2 people are parties binding them to secrecy, preventing them from disclosing specified information often deemed sensitive and confidential. Legislation would prevent lobbyists, lawmakers and state employees from entering into such an agreement when crafting a negotiating bills. Longs proposal came up for a hearing in the Assembly Elections committee where he urged members to back the legislation. It is my biggest concern that we are actually trying to shield the public. For information and and from legislators as well. That is critical to our votes in to help laws are being made. And so nda is being used in the lawmaking, a crafting of laws that that process has to be discouraged and eliminated. But the bill has its opponents, including the California Restaurant Association and the California Chamber of commerce. They came out against arguing some bill negotiations require confidential discussions to build trust and create consensus confidentiality agreements between private parties can often help. To allow a difficult issues and difficult. Issues to be worked through between parties that dont necessarily always a great in the end. Bush and has built the bill did not pass while the loan to republicans on the committee voted in favor of it. The democratic majority blocked the bill noting it was published only last week giving members little time to review it. This rushed process which necessitated expedited hearing by this committee. Prevented this bill from receiving the level of scrutiny and the analysis that bills normally receive. Before being hurt as a disappointment, nbas are going to be allowed to be used moving thats wrong. And so this bill is dead for this year. But every been told by several gop lawmakers, they want to see it reintroduced next reporting at the State Capitol. Anything you cant do . mugs. Bmo all right, taking a live look now at the Golden Gate Bridge. Beautiful, clear blue skies up above there with just a touch of a breeze. I was enjoying a nice view out there day. Yeah, good stephanie. Good morning, everybody. Blue skies at the golden gate show you how much the fog has retreated sunday. Real quick up somebody. Yeah, theres still snow there, but we do have a little bit of a warming trend there to into the 50s we go not too much melting, but a little bit as were getting into the transition into spring as youve been hearing about and even into the summer like weather. So over the next 48 hours of those looks to be a good constant when working here, particularly to the coast. But in some other pockets, well inland that provides the cool breeze inland. But a little chilly at the coast and even along the bay, even with the sun out and thatll help keep temperatures reduced a little bit longer range this weve got going on High Pressure kicks in. So well be looking good on that front towards the weekend weve been watching it looks like things break down a little bit. Theres a retreat for the temperatures, but it looks like it remains dry. Now the resolution is very low on this. But could be some variable clouds with that shore. However, if we can, police keep it dry. Well see if that holds up that way early into the following week. You will notice maybe some rain sneaking back in here in the program. Alright, 4 zone forecast today. Youll see some of the contrast i referenced 64 San Francisco, bue still upper 50s. Thats with sunshine and onshore winds with that, 64 for burlingame to the southwest, right . 67 foster city, 69 for redwood city in the south bay, some lower 70s already. 72 san jose east bay shoreline approaching 70 with lower 70s tribe. Ali. 74 walnut creek. 75 for concord going to build on those . The spots going to see lower 80s by the middle of the week. 67 berkeley got 67 vallejo. 76 for fairfield nap about 74. And 75 for santa rosa. Still 70s for the early part of the week and we pop about 80 come wednesday and then theres the retreat of temperatures, but at least keeping that dry, some scattered clouds being thrown in there. So springtime pattern juicy stuff is going to stay up ok, god is so good for our friends to know up north, but thats going enjoy the sunshine. Maybe just a bit of fog hanging around the area lakes, like a swan lake or nice segue into our next story. Are they so much day . Well, of course, belize. Greatest love story returns to San Francisco next week. And theres still time to get your tickets. Lake is a story of love, innocence, seduction and betrayal. Earlier today i spoke with the stars of the upcoming show me sucker naga angelo greco and daniel divison oliveira. Watch this. A starstudded cast. This is incredible. So, you know, first of all, tell us a bit about. How it feels to all be starring in this incredible show together. Well, it does feel amazing. Weve been the reaction for 4 weeks. Yeah, you know, its going to be pushing special yeah. For about a month. Is that the typical amount of time to rehearse for a show like this much less much less time. Okay. So this is really going to special cause. Youre getting a bit more extra so whats the dynamic been between the 3 of you . What actually, first of all, tell us a bit about the rules that youre playing. I play 2 opposite all the white swan, yes on deal. The bucks one. Okay. A plane to bring 6th grade. Okay. To not feel like brings hell get to okay. And then how about for you . I play the bad im kind of the storyteller of the whole thing. Help everything starts at harbor thing ends me basically. Making everything happen. Make everything great and then running everything as haha. So its its really interesting. You really play these very multidimensional characters in this beautiful ballet. So how do you tap . What would you find the inspiration when you tap into its really kind of bring out that authenticity and be able to play that character on stage. Basically, you know, like we got to be true to the character and we have we coach teaches us about technical and aspects of the so you try to stay true as much as possible to it. And, you know, just some. Basically a part of being professional general. So when youre playing the villain, is there like mindset that you have when you get up on stage jobs . So the yeah, i tried to get into the character as much as possible according to because im not the throughout the whole ballot. So i have different types of behavior as the first act a second act. Of course, the 3rd and 4th like i got to be able to balance things out instead of just being mean and angry throughout right is exhausting. Me say you put whats interesting about your role as you play. 2 opposites. Yeah. You have somebody whos very pure and innocent and light and somebody who is very seductive and dramatic. So whats the mindset that you i feel like i have to size. Jump in. So i think its easy to tap into that emotion and go through. Things in life and then we can just, you know, feel it . Yes, moment. Yes. What was it . Has it been like between you and angelo just playing young of the prince . You have the beautiful debt as well. How do you develop that chemistry and that authentic connection between the 2 of you when youre on stage full u. S. Week. Had this chemistry instantly. So its easier for us to just being a on stage having that kind of atmosphere that. We definitely have to discussion, which is no. But the important thing is that you trust the button and the events. Yes, it was funny because when we met, he need to for the first time 60 ago. Wow, i actually dropping stage. And good news. Said 1000 time. Im sorry. Im so sorry. And she knew that we were going to. That is for that in time of it is. But it is actually very special for us. Which you will be. I last time dancing together, getting some francisco. So i think hes going hes that emotional and its a perfect love. Love story. Yeah, absolutely. And you are also celebrating a birthday yesterday of the exactly bring in 6th grade birthday by day and actually celebrating my own. But this is going and would love to get your thoughts in our last about 90 seconds here. But, you know, theres so many people who are watching this right now, of course, for those who aspire for a career in the any advice that you like to offer because it can be so competitive and challenging. Sometimes. Believe its a high form. The turning to love they are so many sacrifices that you will have to make a life, especially. At the beginning of it. Its you have to leave your family a very young that for me was very high. I mean, it is a very beautiful i4 the moment that you go onstage and you can express yourself. A special. But you cannot forget about all the work that there is behind. So you need to approach these are for him was in mind, said. Well take you to grow as a person before that as an act. So you need to work work, work, work less keep. All right. And persistence is well anything else youd like to add to that either. One of you know, i think i take a in his words, the originally from brazil. So i left very early for young age, my family and everyone. Anyone who wants to pursue anything professionally. Youve got to know that everythings not going to be always beautiful, right . Theres a lot of work. Theres a lot of pain if you are passionate enough to to do it so you should go for it. But just be prepared that always kind of the perfect and wonderful and me. Just to wrap things up here, when can people watch your upcoming show . A second thursday 07 30pm, and and may 5th sunday, 02 00pm. Okay. Fantastic. And tickets are people can off the website. Yes. Absolutely. Okay. Once upon a sfl is at work. Fantastic. All right. Daniel, and angelo r with the San Francisco ballet. Thank you so much for joining us this morning. And to have a wonderful performance saying thank you for us. Well be right. Of course. Well be right back. Now to a pretty wild story. A family from the utah real this morning after their missing cat is found in riverside. But its how the cat ended up in riverside. Thats making headlines on april 10th. The familys cat disappear. They thought she run away. But then 7 days later, they got a call from a vet in riverside. Thats 650 miles away, saying their cats microchip to been scanned at their facility. The cat had jumped into amazon return. A package, i guess, box and have been mailed to return center in florida and california week. Wow. Well, the cat was trapped in a box for 6 days and when the amazon worker opened the return box, thats when they found the cat. So the cat was taken to that local vet and that was able to get in touch with the owner. And aside from some slight dehydration, the cat is perfectly fine and back with its family this morning. But we we know that cats seem to have various very curious and they seem to like hiding in boxes. Yeah, theyre very clever. Yeah, and i yes, great stuff. Pictures on their cell that way. You know, las vegas no need for the cats to hide in boxes to do because not beautiful stuff going on. Theyre going to be theyre going to either for though, a little bit. Why because of winds, though, before we get to that, lets look at high temperatures today. Thats great. And you can see the pattern about whats going on here because of inland heating mid 70s up in the north bay. South, a little bit too, but a lot of 60s around the perimeter of the bay. Meanwhile, were looking at chilly 50s towards the coast. That will be upper 50s but still chilly 50s and for the next at least 24 hours, we have this onshore wind thats kind of been place. We dont have any major weather systems in the backyard. But until that high builds, we do have the surface winds and they provide a little bit of extra cooling. Now we are still going to warm up, though, springs in the win. This battle we pop in about 80 or so come wednesday. Lets keep it going for thursday. The re intrusion of cloud cover still working on the timing of all of this. When this comes together. But the latest model runs are trending drier for the all important weekend. So it looks like even though it will come here, reduction of temperatures clouds, blah, blah, blah. At least we can keep it dry on that front there. So weve been through that kind of scenario before where its not so much in the way of rain, but at least some cloud cover. But hey, thats ok, alright, early the following week as we might actually start to see perhaps a some rain getting back in here, ok . So i was going to say, oh, my just put the umbrella back in the closet, but sounds like a probably want have been around handy. Its a little early for the season, the upturn, but yeah, i dont get the ocean is cold. So whats bringing in that onshore wind . We love it in july august. Yeah, it would be a heat spike breaker. But right now its a bit an the chilly side to be headed to the coast. You want jacket on and dress in layers steps that was there. All right. Thanks so much, david.
