One was taken on the pier of the man she believes what the suspect sitting in a chair only inches from the victim, Kathryn Steinle , as she walked by. A woman across from the pier heard the shots and saw people running toward Kathryn Steinle. One man in dark clothing was walking away. She thought it seemed odd and snapped photos. Another person walking along the pier heard the gunshot and then she turned and noticed an object being tossed off the pier and into the water. I man pulled a hoodie over his head and ran off. The Police Spotted the suspect running along the embarcadero near townsend street and arrested him. Officers say he gave a false name.
