Were looking at storm surges over 10 feet. It would be a bigger storm surge except the storm is moving rapidly and that right front quadrant is out of the strike zone or looks like it will be. If you look at all the various model solutions, everybody is saying, yes, something similar to this. Im hoping and most forecasters are hoping that as we get towards miami, that those blue lines to the right become that becomes the path. That keeps the eye offshore. A cautionary tale for people who have emotional support animals after a legally blind vet was denied service at a restaurant on the peninsula. Ktvus south bay reporter jesse geary has this story. Reporter he has had his service dog, cole, for the past year with no problems until he tried to get a table at a pan asian restaurant in san mateo and was denied due to the presence of his service dog. You can have a pet in here, im like, he is not a pet. He is a service animal. Reporter he says he was offered a seat in the covered patio area out back but will left to eat elsewhere. They said okay we dont want to sit in the patio. He went home. Reporter he says he was blind. No. No, sir. He was speaking to me and [ indiscernible ] everything is in the camera. Reporter the real issue is the service dog. State law covering the americans with disabilities act requires admittance for those using service dogs but not all service dogs. Reporter in san mateo, jesse gary, ktvu fox 2 news. Lets talk more about the weather now, bring in our chief meteorologist bill martin. It almost seems awkward to talk about our weather given whats happening there in the atlantic. Thats been our struggle the last couple of weeks with harvey, partly sunny, cloudy, 70s and 80s at the coast and here we have this real life drama occurring obviously harvey and now, um, irma as it moves closer to shore. We have scattered showers out there, um, and we had some this morning, we had some accumulations in the bay area. Ill show those to you in a little bit. Right now a band is moving onshore now. Is this a big deal, then . No. But its sprinkle, sprinkle, sprinkle, maybe a little wet on the Golden Gate Bridge on the great highway and it will slow the commute a little bit and scattered light sprinkles, a product of that subtropical low Pressure Center thats been offshore that kept things humid around here and definitely cool today. Highs today were 70s, some low 80s at best. So the story of the next couple of days, more sunshine out there. More increased temperatures. These are the highs our current temperatures right now. I would expect livermore to be in the mid80s this time of year, not mid70s. So definitely cooler than you might expect. And its three degrees cooler than it was yesterday in livermore. 7 degrees cooler in santa rosa and so were looking now towards the west. As you look out there, yes, that system, ill show you the green, thats it. It looks like you might get a few sprinkles out there showing up out in San Francisco out in the avenues. The overnight lows will be believe it or not in the mid 60s in antioch. So cloud cover still lingering a little bit tonight. That holds the warm layer in that keeps the humidity up. A little less humid each day this week but its been sticky and uncharacteristic of bay area weather for this time of year, certainly. So tomorrow morning theres the fog. And a pretty good dose of it. You notice theres not a lot of high clouds. The clouds cleared out. Humidity should drop a bit. You see the temperature forecast come in yellows 70s, oranges 80s. Thats not a bad pattern right there. So we are looking at temperatures on your bay area friday that will be warmer than today but certainly remember last friday . 106 degrees in San Francisco . Big difference between this friday and last friday. And as we push forward into the weekend, well see more of these reds, these 90s back in the bay area forecast. Thats tomorrow. Thats friday. When i come back, well talk about the rest of the weekend and what you can expect for your saturday and sunday. Still to come, a massive data breach may have exposed 143 million americans Social Security numbers. Plus, amazon is looking for a home for a new headquarters. Could the bay area be in the running .
