It happened at east weddel drive near fair oaks avenue along highway 101. Investigators saito there was a dispute and the suspect stabbed a woman. Police sent in a dog but the suspect stabbed and killed the dog. Officers opened fire. The suspect was hit and died at the hospital. The woman who was in the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. Police plan to release more information about the incident a little later this morning. Police have adderred a parent to stay away from her Childs School for a week after she was accused of verbally assaulting and threatening a teacher and then chasing the teacher through the school. This happened friday at Laurel Elementary about 3 15. Two of the students were still in the classroom when the woman showed up and threatened to attack her. The teacher ran with the two children to the principals office. Thats where school staff stepped in. We still dont know why the parent was upset. Also new this morning at least two people were shot last night in oakland during a large gathering that was first reported as a side show. Police officers passing by the area of broadway between 38th and 39th street weringed down just before 11 30 last night this is near the medical center. Police sergeant said about 200 people were blocking the street. Authorities are investigating what prompted that shooting. The go victims took themselves to the hospital. Reporter Vector Control officials are alarmed because in the neighborhoods of northeast santa rosa where fires swept through there were 600 swimming pools. Not sparkling blue anymore blue brimming with debris and breeding mosquito. This pool was probably fully maintained up into the fire damage. It just turned that fast. Reporter three week Social Security all it took and for victims the pool is probably the last thing on their mind. A dozen techs testing 50 pools a day are racing the clock.
