She just kept screaming and it was reporter the truck finally stopped when it crashed in to a school bus with two students and two Staff Members inside at chamber street. Just blocks the september 11 the memorial. Witnesses say that the driver got out and shouted god is great in arabic. He appeared to be holding guns. He looked frustrated, panicked, confused. A lot of customers started running past me. Reporter a Police Officer shot him in the stomach. Ran to the window. Reporter police found a paint gun and a pellet done near the suspect. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Injured victims also were transported to the hospital. Six men were found dead along the path. Two others died at the hospital. At this point there is noest to suggest a wider plot or a wider scheme. Reporter investigators say that the suspect is a 29year old. This mug shot from missouri was for an unpaid parking ticket. Police visited appear Apartment Building in Tampa Florida and say he lived in patterson new jersey. He rented the truck earlier in the day. It happened in the Castro District near 18th street and collinswood. Thats near the area where the big halloween celebration is held every year. Many San FranciscoPolice Officers were on patrol in that area last night because of the celebration. Someone told police there was a suspicious car nearby and officers wept to investigate. The officers approached the vehicle to investigate there was an exchange of gun fire. There is no information about the condition of the officer or the suspect. The area has been shut down for the investigation. Police are searching for a carjacking suspect in the same area. They are not saying that if that is related to the shooting. It happened at east weddel drive near fair oaks avenue along highway 101. Investigators saito there was a dispute and the suspect stabbed a woman. Police sent in a dog but the suspect stabbed and killed the dog. Officers opened fire. The suspect was hit and died at the hospital. The woman who was in the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. Police plan to release more information about the incident a little later this morning. Police have adderred a parent to stay away from her Childs School for a week after she was accused of verbally assaulting and threatening a teacher and then chasing the teacher through the school. This happened friday at Laurel Elementary about 3 15. Two of the students were still in the classroom when the woman showed up and threatened to attack her. The teacher ran with the two children to the principals office. Thats where school staff stepped in. We still dont know why the parent was upset. Also new this morning at least two people were shot last night in oakland during a large gathering that was first reported as a side show. Police officers passing by the area of broadway between 38th and 39th street weringed down just before 11 30 last night this is near the medical center. Police sergeant said about 200 people were blocking the street. Authorities are investigating what prompted that shooting. The go victims took themselves to the hospital. One of them was shot in the back. Reportedly they are in stable condition. The police are investigating whether there may have been a third shooting victim. Reportedly there was a side show as well. We will have to pay more at the pump today this is the first day the new gas tax is in effect. The price is now 12cents a gallon more today. The Santa Cruz Sentinel reports the suspect told the prosecutor you are next after the charges of felony arson were read. The da responded, bring it on. The fires burned almost four Hundred Acres and destroyed six buildings including go homes. The sheriff said that the man started the fire in front of three others during an argument. He pled not guilty to charges of arson. There is now a new Health Hazard in the burn zone in the wine country. Millions of mosquito. They are now breeding in abandoned swimming pools. Deborah reports Vector Control is trying to get rid of the swarms before they hatch and cause more problems. Reporter this tech is using his best weapon. Against an invasion of mosquitoes. Tens of thousands of mosquitoes in just one pool. Reporter Vector Control officials are alarmed because in the neighborhoods of northeast santa rosa where fires swept through there were 600 swimming pools. Not sparkling blue anymore blue brimming with debris and breeding mosquito. This pool was probably fully maintained up into the fire damage. It just turned that fast. Reporter three week Social Security all it took and for victims the pool is probably the last thing on their mind. A dozen techs testing 50 pools a day are racing the clock. Three to four days before they hatch. The problem is they can fly over a mile. Were we are in the burn area and we have residents on the outside those mosquitoes will fly in to the neighborhoods. Reporter noticeable to people on the fringe of the fire zone. A resident will go outside in the evening and just be instantly attacked by mosquito biting them. Reporter at any time the district is monitoring about five hundred known, neglected pools that have problems with mosquito. Now that number could double.
