And on westbound 237 getting into the valley youll see slow traffic. Highway, a little bit of slow traffic. Ive hit almost every spot. 6 01 and back to the desk. San francisco firefighters are investigating an Early Morning fire that was near the famous painted ladies house. The homes were not the famous victorians but they were older homes in the area. And Christien Kafton has more information. Reporter firefighters spent the morning focused on a pair of victorian homes on fulton. That fire started shortly after 3 00. Firefighters received multiple 911 calls and crews arrived to find that the fire spread from one building to a neighboring building. The building under construction was unoccupied and the home next door had a family of five and all of them made it out safely. And now the investigation is underway as to how the fire started in the first place. Initial crews were confronted with a lot of fire on all floors, and we quickly called a second alarm due to the area. Its an uphill slope and we were concern that had the fire was progress to multiple structures. Fire crews are monitoring for hot spots. At this point, the fire building was the one that was under construction. And they say theyll need to inspect further to determine how the fire started in the first place. Businesses in San Francisco, san jose, and sacramento received the notices, and an ice Spokesman Says the operation reflects stepped up enforcement of laws that bar businesses from hiring undocumented workers. Last month, 7eleven stores were raided across the u. S. , including here in the bay area. Investigators are use fingerprints and dna evidence to track down a man who hit a deputy in hayward. It all started yesterday morning near west a street and arbor avenue. The deputy on a motorcycle tried to pull over an suv for speeding. The driver stopped briefly and then backed up the suv into the motorcycle while the deputy was still sitting on it. The deputy was dragged. The driver then tried to run over the deputy again. And thats when investigators say the deputy opened fire. In looking at the car, we do not see signs or evidence that he was severely wounded. Its likely he may have ducked under the dashboard. After the suspect rammed the suv into the deputy, Authorities Say he drove a few blocks to royal avenue and ditched the car and ran away. Law enforcement searched for 3 1 2 hours and never found him. The deputy suffered minor injuries on his arm and hand. And investigators say they found out later the suv was stolen. An undercover San FranciscoPolice Officer was also rammed by a car yesterday while trying to arrest a suspect in a car breakin near alamo square park. The officer on a bicycle was in the process of arresting a man who he saw break the window of a parked car at hayes and piers streets. The officers injuries are not lifethreatening. The infinity driver hit another car during a police case. Saw a black infinity hit a prius in the intersection of buchanan and haight. The the infinity started to roll down the hill and two people jumped out. They split up and went different directions, opposite directions. And i think the infinity hit a few more cars down haight. Two people are in custody and the suspect hit by the car was also arrested and taken to the hospital. Time is 6 06. The city of oakland is suing a debris hauling company in west oakland. Neighbors complain that harmful dust was being blown into the air and that they were polluting the water. Neighbors started seeing dust coming from the warehouse that was coating their windows and cars. The lawsuit says the dust may possibly have asbestos or lead and they havent had any samples tested. One woman says its making her family sick. They wake up coughing and cant i just went to the doctor recently myself because i couldnt breathe. He was cited for operating without a permit. This business is in violation of local ordinance. Reporter the lawsuit says the owner of the company illegally used water from a fire hydrant causing debris to get into storm water drains. The owner of the Company Denies the allegation. They come here and see what were doing first before they start pointing fingers. Its not true what they say in the lawsuit. He says his trucks do not haul Hazardous Materials and he tried to address complaints by the neighbors. President trump is expected to approve the release of a controversial house memo. The four page memo allegations fbi misconduct in its investigation of potential ties between russia and trumps president ial campaign. The president reportedly believes the memo will prove the russia investigation is a witch hunt. The fbi has urged the white house to keep the memo classified saying that the agency has grave concerns about the memos accuracy. A candidate running to succeed interim San Francisco mayor mark farrell filed a lawsuit to move the election from november to june. Nick filed the lawsuit in San Franciscos superior court along with another candidate for the seat. When mark farrell was named the interim mayor last week he appointed the county clerk to fill out the rest of his team. Catherine stephanie will be running for the seat in november. The two candidates filing a lawsuit say allowing her to serve as supervisor until november gives her an unfair advantage. They want the driver two supervisor race moved up to the june 5th ballot. The San FranciscoPublic Defenders Office says missing video from a Police Body Camera played a key role in the acquittal of a homeless man accused of threatening someone. The officer appears to intentionally turn off the body camera while responding to a mans complaint that a 53year old was threatening him. Theres a two minute gap in the video. A deputy public defender suggested that the gap was part of a conspiracy between the police and the man who called in the complaint. The Police Department is investigating. President trump is lashing out at the fbi and Justice Department as he prepares to declare the release of a classified memo. Doug luzader is joining us. Theres drama on both sides of the aisle. Reporter good morning. And we expect the president is going to make the call at some point today. A decision to sign off on the release of the republican drafted memo that is said to detail fbi abuses in the earliest stages of the investigation and individuals in russia. The democrats have been fighting the move. And so have leaders in the fbi including the director, christopher wray. Looks like this is going to happen. Well find out if theres as much in the memo as promised or if its a lot of hype. Nevertheless, we think the four page document is going to be released relatively soon. And theres speculation that the head of the fbi may quit as a result. Reporter there was a report from cnn about that. Its not clear how much there is behind that report. But we do know that chris ray, the director of the fbi chosen after comey was fired does not support the release of the document. He has seen it. And went to capitol hill to take a look at it. The fbi though has some issues with this. And the fact that the fbi has objections seems to fuel the arguments on both sides. If youre a democrat, you say the fbi is concerned about the sources and methods that may be revealed. And on the other hand, critics of the fbi say this is proof that the fbi sees embarrassing information there that they dont want the public to see. There may be something for the everyone once we see it if we see it. A lot of people want transparency in the government and whats happening so we all know the truth of whats going on.
