It would allow police to use it only when its necessary to defend against an imminent threat. The current standard allows deadly force if the officer has reasonable fear that they are in danger. The governor is expected to sign the bill. A young boy in brentwood is seriously hurt after falling out a second story window and landing on concrete. He fell at a home on princess way. He was airlifted to Uc Davis Medical Center in sacramento. Brentwood police are investigating why the child fell out of the window. In San Francisco, police have identified the victim in a deadly shooting in the mission district. Investigators say 15yearold devan hahn was killed early yesterday morning. When authorities arrived, they say they saw a car speeding away. They chased it, but the driver escaped. Police say this appears to have been a targeted shooting. If you have information. He previously dismissed the idea in favor of running his ad campaign to impeach President Trump. This comes just one day after congressman Eric Swalwell dropped out of the race. The next debates are just three weeks away. A somewhat surprising announcement adds another name to the crowded field to the democratic field of president ial hopefuls. My name is tom steyer. Im running for president. After saying he would not make a run for the white house in january, bay area Billionaire Tom Steyer changed his mind and entered late in the race. Steyer will spend at least 100 million on his campaign. If you think there is something absolutely critical, try as hard as you can, and let the chips fall where they may. And thats exactly what im doing. Steyer said his campaign is focusing on picking the political system and focusing on climate change. But some dont buy it. The state budget passed and signed into law last month, includes first Care Healthcare moves. Such as lowering prescription drugs and healthcare costs for all california families. The governor calls it a healthy healthcare budget. It is robust. It is comprehensive. I think it was very nuanced. Its a lturally competent budget. Bottom up, not top down. And a budget that can make, i think, californians proud. But we still have a lot of work to do, and we recognize that on our way to universal coverage in california. The budget also provides lone relief for clinics that provide healthcare to patients on medical and medicaid. They are calling for an improvement in working conditions. These nurses walked the picket line outside the hospitals this morning. They want to emphasize, though, this is not a strike. Instead, they say they are work to draw attention to Staffing Levels and high turnover rates of nurse at the hospitals as they begin contract negotiations. They say investing in the nursing staff would allow the hospital to recruit and retain nurses, which would lead to the best care. Its important to retain recruits. But also that it is important to give good patient care. Along with this contract, were asking for better rest and meal breaks. The nurse says theyre not getting their breaks during their shifts. The hospital is not commenting on the nurses actions today. President trump has declared a state of emergency for california after last years series ever quakes in the mojave desert. He wanted to run the country much like he ran his billiondollar business. His two runs for the white house may not have been successful, but ross perot struck a code with voters and shook up americas Political Landscape in the process. Welcome to the crowd . 1992 and 96, ross perot mobilized over 5 million voters to get him on the ballot and was the most successful Third Party Candidate in u. S. History. But this wealthy businessman had humble roots. Henry ross perot was born june 27, 1930, in texarkana, texas. What his family lacked in money, they made up for in values. In 1969, the Defense Department recognized perot for his work, getting aid to p. O. W. S in iran. Two years later, he bribed an iranian revolutioniary group to get two of his employees to escape. He paid the group an undisclosed amount of cash. And said the u. S. Government had no knowledge of his plan. Though it cemented his legacy as a colorful and unique political figure. Few people in this country have been able to live the American Dream to the extent that i have.
