Reporter the dozen fires between clayton and brentwood merged into what cal fire is calling the marsh complex. The majority burned together for 3 larger fires. Reporter 400 firefighters battle the fire from the ground. They were joined by helicopters and air tankers that dumped fire retardant. By midday, the temperature was high and the humidity low but luckily, there was little wind. Them a number of fires at the same time in the same area is certainly unusual. But investigators are not jumping to conclusions. We dont speculate from the beginning.
