Officers say they responded to a shooting at 11 15 last night. A man with a gunshot wound was taken to the hospital and later died. Police have no information yet on any possible suspects or motive. Also new this morning, firefighters are investigating a twoalarm house fire in south san jose. It started after midnight at the corner of pine land avenue and safari drive. No one was home at the time but took firefighters 30 minutes to get that fire under control. No injuries are reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. By a narrow vote the board of San Franciscos muny approved naming the chinatown subway system after rose pack. Hundreds of people turned out to speak out and hear the vote results. Reporter for hours, people stood in lines at San Francisco city hall to wait their ton to speak about the naming of the central subway station this chinatown. Others watched the meeting from an overflow room. At issue is whether the train station should be named after the late rose pack, a controversial and powerful china town activist. The man accused of attacking a woman at her condo billing in San Francisco is facing new charges from other crimes. 25 year old Austin Vincent was in court yesterday on allegations he threatened four people with a knife in february. A judge agreed he should remain in custody. He was getting the help he needed and having the root causes of some of his issues being addressed and now he is in jail where he will not get help with the issues. Vincent pled not guilty to assault with a Deadly Weapon and criminal threats against four people in the incident on february 3rd. Family and friends and Law Enforcement officers from around the state and across the country said a fairwell to the california Highway Patrol officer killed during a traffic stop. Officer andre muay was carried and led by a procession of chp officers on motorcycles. Muay was remembered professionally as a hard worker and high performing motorcycle officer and as someone who was honest, kind and always greeted people with a smile. Everyday you notice that when you saw andres you saw his beautiful mail that obviously lit up the room and made you feel good about coming in to work. More than 3000 attended his funeral. His family says being a motorcycle officer was his dream job. He is survived by his wife of six years and parents, brothers and sisters. Police in neighboring San Bernardino are investigating the deaths of two children as homicides, a teenager and a baby were found dead, the girls were 14 years old and 4 months old and the mother was found inside the home b alive put investigators say she was unresponsive. Police have not released more details. Police say the girls father is the one that called them to the home. The new jury in oaklands ghost ship warehouse trial finished the first day of deliberations without reaching a verdict. Reporter a day after three women were dismissed as jurors in the ghost ship trial, the judge said at least two might need to consult attorneys of their own. The judge said the two quote offending jurors could face contempt proceedings but she was waiting for information from the non offending juror. We have no idea what the misconduct was. Reporter william coal says the violations would have to be serious to trigger a contempt of court case. If it was actual, something serious like corruption, bribely, whatever have you, certainly that would be possible. It seems unlikely that the county is going to start prosecuting jurors for who knows what. A red tailed hawk still alive after smashing through that window of an apartment in half moon bay. It happened friday. The Peninsula Humane Society says the hawk flew through the window and became stranded in a bedroom. Firefighters came in and rescued the hawk and realizing it wasnt hurts they later released it.
