Its a device these canoes to jam your key fob right as you are trying to lock your car. Henry lee explains how it works and what you can do to protect yourself from becoming a victim. Reporter this is what Vallejo Police seized from burglary car, it prevents your car door from being locked perspective blows my mind because technology is amazing these days. When somebody is able and capable of unlocking your car, thats scary. They seized and confirmed it was working. Police say the burglar can be in a nearby car or clear across the parking lot, waiting for you to press your key fob him and thats when they activate the jammer which interrupts the signal to your car. They can pick up the frequency and lock it here. The owner of this Electronic Store says the best thing to do is make sure you are close enough to your car to see or hear the doors locked. Technology, somebody comes up with something, they get the frequency, and thats where its at, you know. Like i said, we are trying to come up with something, where this cant be done. These are still breaking into his car as the old fashion way, we caught up with this man, not long after someone broke into his wifes suburban and stole an item of sentimental value per left behind, broken glass and a dirty diaper. I told him about the jamming device a police recently found, he says with no glass broken or alarm sounding, that means thieves could make themselves at home in your car. Something like that where you dont get a chance to lock it, and arm the system in place, i mean, they could sit here and dig through your whole vehicle while you are shopping. The bottom line, whether you are using the key fob or lock your car manually, never leave valuables in your car in the first place.
