Than a day. We are in the midst of historic tragedy in the northern bahamas. Our mission is search, rescue, and recovery. The storm is now wider than the florida peninsula. Hurricaneforce winds extend as much as 45 miles out there the eye of the storm. The governors of florida, georgia, and South Carolina have already ordered hundreds of thousands of people to evacuate. Emergency Officials Say hurricane doian is the strongest storm to ever threaten are floridas east coast and even if dorian never comes on shore, strong winds, flooding and storm surge could createlifethreatening conditions throughout the region. For the most part, people are paying attention with many out of their homes. Others have stocked up on supplies and hunkered down to wait out the storm. You board up your house. You are waiting for it to arrive, and it is just taking a long time, and you know, the anticipation of it is theyre racking. The National Hurricane says dorian can be quote, dangerously close to hah thats east coast by tonight. Forecasters say it could take 24 hours for it to pass florida and they are now expecting the storm to also affect georgia and South Carolina through thursday night. Right now, it is 402. We have our own Steve Paulson who is monitoring the storm as well. Downgraded to a three but still just a massive storm. It is indeed. All signs are it is stationary. There is the problem. There are still the outer bands affecting the bahamas. It looks like it will go parallel to the coast and past daytona beach, jacksonville, savannah, carlston and wilmington. The water is well up along the beach. The system is an amazingly slow move. Once we get information for the bahamas, the damage will be unprecedented. Imagine a hurricane for 24 hours. It does look like it is beginning its move at least in the next 24 hours to the north and it will go along the coast and peel back along also South Carolina and North Carolina as well. So, i mean, so far, that seems to be the track. For us, temperatures are starting to cool off yesterday, pam, and it looks like that will dont. More on that in ten minutes. Now, here is my good friend. Steve, good morning. We do have a look at traffic that is going to be mostly pretty good for this tuesday morning. We can see traffic is doing pretty well if you are driverring on the richland bridge as we look at some of these commutes. You can tell that things are nice and light all over the bay area. So far, it is probably not going to stay this way, but if you look at the pass approach, it looks pretty good driving into the area and coming on the east shore freeway, we are off to a nice start. The bay bridge toll plaza is still light so far. 404, lets go back to the desk.
